Anyone else not get why national socialism and ****** is censored but not eugenics and zoolophilia? I sense a clan bias in igp.

Everyone has it all wrong. The clans don't suck because of slavery, birthism, or siblingsex. They suck because of the nerds that roleplay and white knight them.

Hm that's oddly reasonable.

Glad you said something, Storm. I was on the fence. Part of me is a little sadistic and wanted to see how long it would take for him to catch on.

Their power, period. Everything they have is better in every way. That is what draws people. If they say otherwise they are fibbing :D.

I'm not lying when I say I like Clan Wolf because of the culture. The cast-based society may not be perfect, but I follow the warden way and have been roleplaying as them for a long time.

I pattern my IRL life after the rich tapestry that is the heroic culture of the oompa loompa. Theirs is the true noble path of honor.

A life of servitude to a madman, forced to labor day in and day out on a mission without end, risking their lives (and type 2 diabeetus) in the process?

That actually makes sense.

If I recall correctly, doesn't the 'Warden Way' basically consist of "No, we are not going back to the inner sphere, we want to stay out here as space Mongols and completely ignore the promises we made to the lower castes back when the clans were founded"? Really, the Crusader ideology is really driven by the lower castes, who demand a reason for the warriors to be the ones in charge.

Plus, Clan Wolf is a bunch of Mary Sues who can't do anything wrong ever.

It specificly states in far country (the only canon material that acknowledges the existence of a sentient non-human species) that jump out is impossible thus the idiom room with no doors.

And still waiting to hear you explain why the Cappellan's caste system is in any way better then the clans.

Not that I care about the tête-à-tête or whatever they are, but actually, the Mechwarrior Companion lists a low-tech sapient homonid life-form: neopithecanthropus. =)

The OP clan mechs im sure werent just an accidental bonus. There is no shame in liking the front runners :P. Just wish people wouldnt hide the fact it was the mechs that drew them to the clans, not their "lore". If clans piloted equal tech mechs then I would believe that, not that you need me to validate.

Eh, there's things about Clan culture that I like - I just think that the logical outcome of their particular brand of genetic fascism makes victory a poison pill for them. As long as they have their Triumphant Return to the Inner Sphere and Glorious Restoration of the Star Leagetm, they have an enemy to focus their warfare. If they hadn't underestimated their former quislings on Tukayyid, they'd have won too quickly and ended up turning on each other to find the required validation for the Warrior Caste. As it was, the enforced truce drew out the conflict long enough to expose them to real, full-fledged cultures - and in the long run, might just have saved the Clans.

I like the clans because, all the wanna be, got to have best technology and therefore in a sense winning team joiners are filtered out.
That's a pretty sweet feature in this game.

It was the exact opposite for me. The Clan history and background is why I like them. Their mechs are boring because they are all basically the same.

I find it odd, how people are attacking the goons for being goons when the arguments they are using are not noticeably poorer or more biased than any other posts in this thread.

If anything it is funnier that they are (mostly) avoiding personal attacks and merely arguing about the various parts of cannon.

I can't wait until people start pulling the same stunt in other, "No, I am not going to discuss the issue with you because you are a Clanner."

Clan energy weapons and double heat sinks taking 2 slots is why I like clan better.
I don't really care about politics, but Inner Sphere has the edge there.
