Fusion reactors do not go critical breaches cause an instant shut down, with after effects causing a much smaller explosion.

MW3 is not canon. No MW video games are considered canon. Stackpoling is mechs going nuclear. It comes from the author of books that loved to make mechs go nuclear even though BT canon says they can't.
BT canon says at best you can get is either a boiler explosion or a large puff of flame through the hole which caused the breach. Devs have said they don't want stackpoling because it goes against the flavor of BT and would only help encourage suicide runs, which are bad enough currently.
I suggest reading this: http://www.sarna.net...i/Fusion_Engine
THey cannot go nuclear, but can make pretty light shows doing some damage, but it is an extreme rarity.

And the sound effect for blowing parts off right now sucks too... sounds like somebody dropping a glass bottle and it shatters.
Make each mech part sound different shouldn't be too hard, just throw in some new sound effects!

If people want to see big explosions, I would be ok with that too. Those explosions don't make sense from a realism or lore standpoint, but that doesn't matter if they increase the fun factor for most players.
That said, I really don't want to see mechs exploding and causing damage to nearby mechs. That is just an annoying limitation that heavily discourages brawling.
