Start shooting from just outside his range (~300m), and back up when he comes towards you. Once he is in range, turn your torso to one side and then the other between your shots to spread the damage out.
To kill, you need one of:
1 headshot
2 CT shots
1 back shot
Catapult ears have 40 armor, max, so unless they maxed it, 1 shot should take it out, but you're better off going for the CT. Done properly, he won't get into range and lock on before you kill him.

Kousagi, that's not how the 'doubling' works. The values you see in the Mechlab are already doubled. A Cat's 'ear' has 40 armor. You are correct that it would take more than 40 damage to kill, but only because you also have to kill the internal structure.

So, if you have a streakcat friend to keep the squirrels from killing you, you can kill their streakcat

Again, only if they maxed armor, and who doesn't shave half a ton, here and there? Well, some people, but then they've probably skimped somewhere else...

That is how the doubling works. As TT values and MWO mech lab values for armor match. Stock mechs don't have max armor cause they always have less then max armor, but by creation rules they are the same.
Sorry boss you're wrong, max TT armor values of a Cat's arms is 20.

How much brainpower does it take to realize that any weapon with better range than an SSRM2 is an effective anti-streakcat weapon?

Thanks for the backup. I feel like I have to chime in on this point multiple times per day. It's getting old. I have no idea where people manage to get the information he's working off of without realizing it's wrong. In every thread I've seen it posted, it's immediately refuted by a chorus of people with better information.
