All Performance / FPS / Lag related posts will be merged into this thread for simplified reference and overview.

Please attempt to respond to the following questions in your responses:
  • How had the patch generally affected your performance?
  • Whether there are specific points in the game when your performance changes.
  • What are your video settings, did you change them since last patch?
  • Average FPS ingame and in the menus for previous patch and latest patch (Press F9 to see your FPS)
  • System specs (You can include them in a [spoiler] [ /spoiler])
  • Your advertised internet connection speed / Geographic location

You are actually going to address this issue? :)
Was there any fixes today for the FPS Drop to 4.0?

From Patchnotes:

Quote

Lastly, I want to let everyone know we are working on networking, performance, and bug fixes. This is the heart of any great game and we are committed to getting the best experience we can for our players. Some things take longer to turn around.

Which suggests that no major improvements have been made with this patch...

Yeah, looks like they added more content without fixing any major game breaking bugs, again. Looks like I have to sit out yet another week or two till they fix the framerate problems sigh.

Edit: Just played one match. Now my framerate is in SINGLE digits during the heaviest part of fighting. Before the new Cryengine update patch 3 patches ago I was able to play this game just fine, now with every patch my performance is worse and worse. FIX THE GAME PLEASE

How had the patch generally affected your performance?
Compared to the previous patch 1.1.150, no change – performance is still dropping to 4-5 fps some times during battle

Whether there are specific points in the game when your performance changes.
In battle or during movement when other mechs are visible

What are your video settings, did you change them since last patch?
1920 * 1080, medium, no change

Average FPS ingame and in the menus for previous patch and latest patch (Press F9 to see your FPS)
16 to 25 fps depends on the map

When rotating mech in the mechlab Camo section i have a FPs drop of 10 fps.

REst of the game continues to be at 4-6 fps about 12 max when no combat.

Befroe it was in between 10-2 fps all the time.

Had no FPS drops prior to todays patch. Now I've had 4 consecutive matches at 4 FPS. Mechlab is slower now as well. Would system specs be helpfull?

  • How had the patch generally affected your performance?
This patch has not improved performance over the last patch.
  • Whether there are specific points in the game when your performance changes.
When I begin twisting my torso, begin moving, or engaging in a battle with an enemy mech my frame-rate drops to between 10 and 20fps.
  • What are your video settings, did you change them since last patch?
I am using 1600x900 at LOW detail. I have also turned off AA and Motion Blur. I have not changed my settings since last patch. Please note, when I first started in the Beta - I was able to play in True HD (1950x1080) at MEDIUM settings with better frame-rates.
  • Average FPS ingame and in the menus for previous patch and latest patch (Press F9 to see your FPS)
I get 60fps in the menu. (no change)

I get 30-50fps when waiting for other mechs, and before beginning movement. (no change)
I get 20-25fps when moving and 10-20fps when engaging an enemy in a fire-fight.

  • Your advertised internet connection speed / Geographic location
Comcast XFinity Ultra

At speedtest.net I get 33ms ping, 25Mbps up, 3.5Mbps down from my location to Vancouver, BC.

I am downloading the patch so can't address the question yet, will edit when I do.
I couldn't just stay quiet after reading these posts. How is this supposed to help the devs fix problems? All you are doing is whining that they haven't fixed the issue. They would be able to fix it faster if you would give the information they ask for.

Done patching and tested a few cfg's as well.

System Specs:
Spoiler

All of the following is using 1280x720 res. (My native 1440x900 lowered fps significantly of course).

Pre-patch was getting 15-20 fps in battle with Bladexxl's cfg, Without a cfg game was unplayable 5-10 fps nomatter how I set the graphics options..

Post-pach using no cfg and settings set to low am getting 20-25 out of battle and 14-18 in battle.

With settings set to high got 12-15 out of and 5-10 in (as I would expect with my low end system).

Tried a few cfg's and got varied results.

With this cfg (forgot exactly who I got it from, sorry) got 18-20 fps out of and 8-12 in battle.

Spoiler

With Colonel Pada Vinson tweaked for Nov. 20th patch cfg got 18-22 out of and 10-15 in combat.

Spoiler

With Unwary's cfg got 15-20 out and 8-15 in combat.

Spoiler

So the patch helped my fps by quite a bit without using cfg's but made the cfg's I have tried innefective, which is fine with me. Was a bit of a pain having to find and swap cfg's for my system.

Performance seems unchanged since last Patch ... but hey we got new content we can look at, when everything looks like a slideshow ... Great!

It's hard to see that this issue seems not been touched.

And what i want to say too ... i feel very lonely as beta tester ... it seems that the developers not even want to communicate with the community.

Where is the feedback to the overwhelming performance issues, i cant find anything in the performance topics ... only the little passage in the patch notes that don't even directly address this issue!?

For me i will wait again until the next patch day arrives, but be sure i wont do this again and again until the final release will come ... our time is expensive too and we all try to make this game as best as possible but not under all circumstances.

Greetings

PS: you may remember the Piranha Hunt .... please look at the vid an look at the Chat! ... there you will see that the community try to communicate to the Developers at any possible way but no reaction!

THEY HAVE ALL THE ******* DATA BY NOW! THE PROBLEM IS THE ENGINE CAN'T RUN WELL ON 2 CORES!!!!

the fact that they didn't/don't want to revert to a code that worked for those processors tells us they don't give a **** about those players and so the rage and rant is fully deserved...

fps still bad. I really tought u looked in to this after the last patch, but nothing. CPU is still at 100% and the graphic card has nothing to do. So many people have problems after the last patch, its really a shame that there is no more information about this issue.
Matthew Craig said allready that there is no big differenz if u play on High or low settings.
"Yeah sorry to say for now changing your settings from high to low isn't going to help much the cost of the UI isn't controlled through them nor is streaming."
http://mwomercs.com/...d/page__st__540
I mean really, should this go on like this?
