People, the problem is the engine. Cryengine is crap for anything less than a quantum computer.

Have you ever heard anyone say "ya, but can it run Crisis?"

There's a reason for that.

THEY SHOULD HAVE CHOSEN THE UT3 Engine!!!

As somebody who has a running support ticket in for Black Screen of Death and CTD's, you have my files, after this patch I have yet to hit a single snag.

Although, I'm seriously NOT wanting to test the holes in the floor in the various maps as before, I got stuck 95% of the time. The MechLab is blurry even though I have Blur completely turned off. This happens when I spin my mech. Oh yea! Spinning mech disco party time!

My video settings are set Custom -> everything to Low or off.

My average FPS in game is 20-30 FPS.

I still have the same problems i had with the last patch, the game is almost unplayable. When i start a match it looks ok but once i start moving around or firing my framerate drops to 8/10 fps even on lowest setting and lowest resolution. I also experience massive texture clipping on Frozen City (normal).

Yes but my machine CAN run Crysis and this game murders it. Thus the problem, rigs that can run Crysis 2 max detail struggle to crank out more then 20 fps.

Framerate dropped from 60 consistent to range between 49-60 fps.

Last night I suffered significant sound degradation. I have now just discovered and installed new Creative drivers and will try again this afternoon when I get off duty.

whats terrifying is the number of quad users, and i5 and i7 users who are complaining . And I dont mean the guys who are insisting on running on all high settings even though their fps are sub 30.
Well , at least pgi is saving me money. No sense in upgrading at this point.

  • How had the patch generally affected your performance?
FPS became worse. Also I experienced some sound problems now. Soundstream interrupts sometimes.
  • Whether there are specific points in the game when your performance changes.
At round start and in close combat - FPS decreasing and sound problems.
  • What are your video settings, did you change them since last patch?
All max except Blur, 1280x1024. Didnt change anything...
  • Average FPS ingame and in the menus for previous patch and latest patch (Press F9 to see your FPS)
Stable 60 FPS before patch, after patch: Mechlab - 60 FPS, ingame - constantly changing 30-60 FPS
  • System specs
    Spoiler

  • Your advertised internet connection speed / Geographic location
10 Mbps, Russian Federation, Saint-Petersburg.

I think that last patch is broken. New camo textures destroy my performance despite the fact that my PC is pretty good.

Ya but I can run Crysis 2 on high and rarely drop below 40fps averaging around 55 FPS. Yet this game Averages 25 FPS and drops to single digits often on low. When the game went open beta i was running on medium and averaging a livable 45 FPS. It's not Cryengine.

The biggest issue that my computer seems to have is the camera shake on being hit with missiles and autocannons. Can this be toned down quite a bit or something? One missile volley is almost a guarantee that i'm never going to recover FPS until my mech is face down in the dirt. Running my founders atlas, you'd think being in a large mech would make it less likely to be effected by missiles vs a small mech. So far a light mech can come and keep me rocking so bad my fps drop and can't do anything in return.

I hope this can be fixed. Me and my buddies were playing the game on a regular basis and at the moment this is just not an option. Since I ve been a BT fan I spent some considerable time tweaking and testing with MWO and finally with some pretty heavy OC work (Unigine Heaven: 140fps/300fps+max 3430pts) the game stays more often within the 40fps range again...but then OCing like that is not practical.

Starting with all 'high' options, never had problems. After this patch slow like a snail. Reduced most options to 'low' nothing happens. Unplayable....

c2d 6750
hd6950
4gb ram

lowest settings
only change i made i dropped the res from 1680*1050 to 1600*900

menu fps 59-60
in game avg fps 10 ...ranging from 4 to 15

How had the patch generally affected your performance?
Pre patch I did not have that bad of performance. Ran about 20 FPS in game, would see drops to about 10-12 with heavy fighting. Still very playable, if not very appealing. Since patch my frames are 15-19 in menu 10-15 in game and drop to 3-5 during fighting. LRM's make the game unplayable.

Whether there are specific points in the game when your performance changes.
Performance all over is worse, but in fighting specifically I am seeing major drops in frames

What are your video settings, did you change them since last patch?
Lowest settings possible, I have not changed them

Average FPS ingame and in the menus for previous patch and latest patch (Press F9 to see your FPS)
See question 1

The game lags ALOT since the new patch. Some maps are truly unplayable. Please fix this because my friends and I can't play it like this anymore.

Actually for me performance dropped another few fps, seems the new content just added more load.

The game is nearly unplayable, and when it is, calling it playable at 25fps is kind of a joke when timing matters and your fps is all over the place for what seems like a hundred different reasons.

phenom II x2 560be
8g of ddr3 1600 ram
HD5750 1g

Now, I don't expect too much from this one machine...but it does play MW:LL on medium during large battles with a nearly solid 43fps....what the hell have you guys done that rips performance so bad vs another game using the same engine(MW:LL using DX10 too, runs better on DX9 but water looks much better in DX10)?

Performance decreases after every patch, after 27th patch snow maps won't load majority of textures (ice cliffs surrounding the cave, buildings) which makes these now unplayable. Playing low-medium settings, fps varying from 20 to 60.

AMD Phenom II 955 X4 3,2Ghz
Asus M4N78
Chieftec A135 550W
4GB DDR2 800
ATI Radeon HD 5770 1GB (latest drivers)
Windows 7 64b

Internet connection (= what I'm paying for) 110mb
