Stuttering Betty is more like it.

When the action gets hot she is more of a nuisance than anything else.

Anything close to a furball causes audio failure.

Well...i guess it's better than an FPS drop. ;)

I get the same. Sounds like messed up sound buffers or a problem of too many soundchannels being used for my hardware. I'm using a USB Headset I think it can handle 32 channels at max.

It'll be good to disable some reports or choose what should be reported: structural damage, targets, heat level, ammo level, so on...

Same problem here....seriously do they not even play a single game to test this stuff? I played 1 game with this new patch and thats all I can take, the audio is absolutely ******* insane.

Encountered this issue quickly. No popping sounds added but as soon as there are more then a few audio samples overlapping (particularly when weapons fire) I get cut outs and other audio dropping. For example someone fires a laser and for that moment the sound of my footsteps cuts out. As soon as you get into a real battle the sound situation is very bad.

I had sound popping before with steps, in some matches.

Now with this patch I get audio cutting out, much more popping, voice files getting cut off, stuttering talking, that stuff.

Since my last thread was promptly deleted, I'll re-state.

Do you at PGI actually do any testing for these patches you throw out to the masses? I cannot for the life of me understand how issues that are 100% reproducible and in each and every game. This leads everyone to believe you DON'T do any internal testing or closed testing. As such, it is my FEEDBACK that you begin to open applications and/or hand select people to do closed testing BEFORE a patch is released.

The audio issue has been present for months. It's been acknowledged, perhaps but ignored. And now this new audio bug in regards to repeating sounds/Betty, ultimately leading to failing erratic audio for the end user. Something has got to give and it's calling for competence; this means you, PGI.

I get it - during alpha or beta of any phase, issues will come up. But most other companies have a procedure so it can be dealt with accordingly, not pushed out "hoping for the best" and leaving the end users to be frustrated.

Deleting threads won't make the problem go away.

I've got pops, the engine sound cuts out, and Betty occationally gets cut off during a particularly nasty firefight. Framerate is miserable - 25-35fps, no matter the map.

Same here, popping/crackling and sounds being overlapped over eachother.

Also had this before but it was only sometimes and usually during big fights, playable, whereas now its really not playable anymore.. (also had it in MWLL but running its 64bit client solved much of it). Maybe its a crytek engine thing?

Betty's comments often get cut off if there's more action going on.
Didn't notice any other problems with sound yet.

before this patch I noticed small audio stutter when walking around, but nothing serious and never prevented any sounds from playing.

This, on the other hand, is worse than anything I've experienced, makes the game less enjoyable.

This audio issues has been around for months and nothing is being done about it. Acknowledged maybe but swept aside and threads deleted does not make the problem go away. The issue comes up randomly but fairly consistently when walking on uneven terrain and tends to persist throughout the rest of the match, even terrain or not.

Now with the new Betty audio, the problem is made even worse, aside from the separate issues introduced with the betty audio.

Seriously PGI, get your stuff together. Start TESTING your patches before you release them and if for some reason you don't have internal or closed testing like other companies normally do, perhaps you should take this FEEDBACK, instead of deleting it, closing your eyes and hoping the problem goes away.

Start looking into getting players to help do closed testing, because you are clearly in need.

yeah, it's a pretty big issue that'd require an hotfix as soon as possible
