I don't see how you can disagree with the OP, it was a statement of fact.

No need to disagree with the facts of your OP (the ones that actually are facts that is). Every need to disagree with your implication that putting 3 gauss rifles on a mech that is then slower than an Atlas and less armored than a Jenner is something exceptional.

I think it's telling they made a thread in the command chair about this specific issue because it's so blatantly obvious that it's P2W.

I think it's because people like to freak out over everything and need to be told it's going to be ok when their cat breaks a claw.

It isn't pay to win...

Remember when a bunch of folks freaked out about the Yen Lo-Wang? Called it pay to win?!

Those of you who didn't buy one, do you always lose against them? Are they insurmountable? Nope... they sure aren't. Neither will this mech be. Especially if you try to mount 3 gauss on it.

This isn't Mechwhiner... stop acting like it.

LOL, 45 tons of gauss rifle on a 75 ton mech. Good luck trying to boat that, any decent pilot will be on your back within seconds eating you alive.

70 ton mech. 75 might actually have made it remotely possible to make one with any effectiveness.

As it is you just don't have enough tonnage left to have ammunition, armor and speed in any decent amount.

please fix this before you release it by giving it one 4x arm with 2 ballistic and a 1x torso with one ballistic.. would also fit the story of a mech being built together from different others.. none of the others have 1 ballistic in arm..

we dont need p2w triple ac10 / uac5 / lbx / gauss mechs..

Psh... 3 Gauss on a 70-ton?

I run 4 PPCs on a 50ton, and I still move over 50kph and have many tons of armor... I have singed eyebrows, but nobody sees that through the cockpit glass...

(just through their thermals ;-)

My point is: if it's possible, it'll be done. Does it make you win, though?

My bad. Still think it would be a dog if it was a 75 ton.

^ This.

For an item to be p2w, its unique options have to actually be... good. 3 Gauss on a Heavy sounds about as useful as 6-PPC Awesomes.

I checked, not even really viable, unless you want no armor and only a couple tons of ammo.

That's exactly the point that makes us laugh about triple gaussphracts. Way too much tonnage for the weapons themselves, there's just not enough tonnage left to make the mech useful. It will die way too fast, have little agility and probably so little ammo the only reason it won't run out is because it got killed two minutes into the match...

Anyone thinking the 4-6 PPC Awesome is an overpowered mech? No one? Well it's a stronger alpha striker than the 3 Gauss Cataphract and with much more armour too.

I knew the next hero would be a Cataphract. They got to sell that new OP Mech while there's no weight balance. They're also giving the finger to everyone that doesn't like K2 Gaussapults. No one will complain about that anymore once a new variant can shoot 3 at once and INSTANT KILL YOU with 1 headshot at 1k range.

but it overheats, and gauss does not.

The reason I'm looking forward to this mech?

2x arm mounted gauss on a mech that can be upgraded to a reasonable speed.

No offense, but that build is not very good. If you think that is an auto-win button, I encourge you to try it out.

Light mechs won't even need ECM to rip you appart, and if you think teams focus down the A1 streak-boats in short order, the second anyone reads 3 gauss on a loadout you can expect to be the center of 8 very determined individuals bent on your destruction.

Honestly, I kinda look forward to folks trying this out, and I'm a big proponent of too many guns. But a 70 ton mech at 40kph is a sitting duck. Especially when they are all zoomed in or staring at that grainy little PiP zoom searching for headshots across the map.

LOOK AT THE PICTURE HERE

http://mwomercs.com/game/battlemechs

Notice THE LEFT ARM still has the hand - that means 4x actuators meaning x3 gauss WILL NOT HAPPEN.
