Yeah, I can sort of accept this, but the point he's presenting is that this puts weapons dependent upon ammo at a disadvantage if damage isn't adjusted in proportion to the increased armor or if weapons don't receive an increase in shots per ton. I think he's right, but I trust the devs to balance it out.

I'm more disappointed with a hunchback have 320 points of armor and them not getting into armor placement for customization. It will be bad I think if all armor is automatically balanced. For example: Armor even split or automatically 1/4th set to the back of the torso's.

Changing armor changes the whole dynamic of the game and vastly changes the values of weapons. Until we know more, I'm trying to be ambivalent but, initial thoughts are grim.
