Jump Sniping

There was one map(River something?) where if you run to the enemy base, there is a pile of wreckage. I fought 3 LRM boats there one time with 2 UAC 5's and JJs. I'd jump up behind the wreckage for the shot and then fall back down for cover.
The more advanced form, for when you are fighting mechs that actually move, is jump sniping as you run along a hill. This can work even better if you have the higher ground.

Its do able, but not nearly as easy as it was in say MW3 or most notoriously in MW4.
On the same topic, hill humping is also a great alternative to kill LRM boats. Plus, you don't have to deal with the strange server side misses as jump snipers or poptarts do.

I'll do it from time to time, usually to get a quick peek at enemy movements. I wouldn't rely on it as a sniping platform, because I suck at sniping.
oh yeah I forgot about that. jump scouting and seeing 5 mechs before your team sees them is fun.

This is where the jumping mech would have to play smart and not use full power for every jump if it became a situation of You vs a Camper.
