Blake-forsaken, eh?

I guess we just need some more ComStar involvement, and everythig will take care of itself.

Greetings Mechwarrior....You have been recruited by Comstar to defend the Inner Sphere against Kerensky and the Clan armada...

Uh oh, maybe Centauri moved to the Inner Sphere, and is up to his old Excalibur tricks again...Maybe this game is just a test!!!!!
(Last Starfighter reference for those not in the know)

LOL, CLAN fan-boys ahoy! jesus...

I honestly think that the biggest mistake for MWO will be to introduce clan battlemechs so quickly to this game. the awesome roll warfare that we currently enjoy will get dashed to ribbons when you can pilot 75 ton heavy mechs that cruise at a nice 90kph all day.

nothing like seeing teams of 8 TIMBER WOLVES. (not Madcats you schmucks.)

Why so much resent towards the fan boys buying Cats and Wolves, Mad or Wooden, and other forest creatures? Means more money for PGI, so they can continue releasing content for us non-fan boys, and YOU get the added smug sense of satisfaction when you watch their mech fall over in a puff of expensive smoke!

or is a house selling mechs to them?

A Steiner company DID admit to doing business with the Oberon Confederation...and ended up losing their jumpship since they were dumb enough to not only try to work deals with pirates, but do so without some mercenaries to escort like traders from the Hanseatic League always do.

Things will get progressively worse as March approaches. We may represent different factions right now, but soon we will have to unite against a common enemy. To arms my fellow Mech Warriors, be prepared for the battles that await us and the hissing static that wishes to confuse us.

Common enemy? What common enemy you say? Free Rasalhague Republic is neutral, don't you be bringing your house feuds into our lawn.

YOUR lawn? And just WHO has been helping you keep it trimmed, hmm? You're in this conflict no matter what.

I think the lot of you talking about the Return of Kerensky. Surely if something THAT BIG was heading our way via the Periphery, Comstar would surely tell us about it. I mean, there's no way in this day and age that they would withhold information, right?

"Criminal Syndicate" is what petulant I.S. nobility call representative governemnts in the periphery states.

Your belief in the failed idea of democracy is duly noted. You can rest assured that when the Lyrans have spent themselves in their attempt to conquer you, we will be marching in to liberate you from the tyranny of the masses as well as the tyranny of Tharkad. Duke Kelswa was not a fluke - all the Steiner lords view you as their property - and the Commonwealth worlds given to you are merely to make it easier for them to take what is rightfully ours when they come for you. We granted you autonomy, but your autonomy is merely Luthien's way of showing you how much worse things are when you're not a part of the Combine. It is an experiment, but it will come to an end, when you have learned the hard lesson that your true capitol is on Luthien, and your true allegiance belongs to House Kurita. "Elected Prince" indeed.

I liked this news-post and it's content considering what is actually going on inside the periphery at the moment. It was a nice little read that helped me through my day at work.

Wow, I thought more people would get this. But I forget many aren't as into lore as I am...

The Clan Invasion Has Started!!!

I was wondering when "news" from the Periphery would start "leaking" information like this. We're gonna be knee-deep in Clanners soon.

Apparently, there's some pirate outfit calling themselves 'The Clan'.

I'll worry about it when/if something shows up here in Rasalhague.

Maybe some little known Mercs have decided to clean out those Pirates? I heard Oberon IV has been extremely quiet of late... that can't be anything but good news! Right? RIGHT??

Sounds like good news to me, on a great many fronts.

But the Outbound Light is still missing with it's crew and it's survey team. We've not received any transmissions. I fear for the safety of its' boarders and the two dropships it carried. Whatever could have happened to them?

Definitely with you here.

I wonder what percentage of the players actually know what these announcements mean?

Apparently about 75% and falling fast. Which is good, as few of the up and coming generation read books for enjoyment.

Yeah, like you liberated Kentares IV. I'm not concerned with a few pirates out on the periphery, the enemy is right here.

And it never will be, nor the Pheonix Hawk, Wasp, Stinger, etc. copyright infringement and all. No Robotech/Macross mechs will be seen in the future.

The TIMER Wolf? Is that 'mech one that lasts for three minutes, then blows up? Sounds like a Raven-variant. With MASC. Because everybody remembers what happened when Ravens were first fitted with MASC. They caught fire and died. To my delight.
