Don't think of it as a bigger Jenner with less payload. Think of it as a Locust with no copyright issues & a cripplingly heavy engine. The variants have widely-differing hardpoint layouts, so we can downgrade the engine & mech-lab it to mimic other popular mechs. But I'm still wondering how to explain that I like the redesign but it's incredibly ugly. :P

Because it's way better than the old crap TRO art

I always heard it pronounced more like sih-kay-dah...

that would be pronounced Si-kay-duh Si as in sick. Just like the noisy insects.

Sweet, I love the new look. Kind of wish they released which variations were going to be available as well.
I need to start planning my first upgrades. :P

It wasn't clear I was joking so I will make it more clear: I was making fun of people pronouncing things wrong in an amusing way, IE. "fah-jai-tahs" instead of "fa-hee-tahs" or "hyper-bowl" instead of "hy-per-bow-lee".

:P

I thought it was pronounced Fes-Roh-Dah?

A nice heavy scout. And it seems to be the CDA-3M model.
So far, i prefer the Jenner over it. A scout needs jumpjets.

I would like to now more about its variants. Dropping the Ultra AC should give it quite some tonnage for more much needed armor or different weapons.

Ah, shouldn´t the AC be mounted in the right torso?

and no a scout does not need jump jets. speed yes jump jets no and depending on the mission arms and hands (cant aquire cargo if you cant pick it up). my assult company, scout lance was 2 chargers, a golith, and a victor, thats fast for assults...he he

looks good, my only complaint is that they made it into a reverse joint leg mech...if you look at all the other pics on sarna, the knee goes the other way...

Can't we just agree it's pronounced "susan"?

@ Straylight: Yes yes, apparently UAC do sport a lot of mutli-barrel designs, though none of which have presented in any of the games to date but regardless, where do you draw the line between UAC and RAC from a visual stand point then?
You don't, because RACs aren't present in MWO and never will be. They're still thirteen years off in the BT timeline, and MWO isn't going to be around that long as an actively-developed title.

Quote

That aside, please don't mention MWLL here, that game while pretty to look at, is no step forward in the MW and BT world. It replicates the age old issues from all the previous MW titles, issues which the Devs have addressed and have implemented strategies to solve. Strategies which hopefully will succeed.
I mention MWLL because FD plays it. Presumably he plays MWO, too, and you could hunt him down for his flogging there as well, but for a slight "unreleased" issue unless you're willing to wait.

Personally I'd say, at present, MWLL is the MW/BT world, at least in terms of video gaming. At least, I don't see any other current-gen, actively-supported BT games that I can go play right now. That counts for something, I'd think.

And I will speak of what I please, where I please, when I please.

That's really weird, this female mechwarrior changed 10 mechs in her career already :P Never seen something like that before.

So, let me get this straight, as the new medium mech we get this oversized locust?

I am sorry, but same speed and same armour as the locust, along with half a ton more of weapons doesn't justify double the weight and price. I liked all other mechs, but this one is a real let-down, especially when guessing that we won't get too many other medium mechs any more. It must be really hard to select a "sensible" medium mech.

Having two mediums which both wanted to be heavies, but just didn't manage to was allright, as there was the hope to get a more balanced machine in the future. Now we have a medium which wants to be a light, so i wonder, when will we get a medium which indeed is built as medium mech? (Means, a balanced mix of speed and firepower, perhaps even, *gasp* with jump jets? But i guess we'll rather see the Victor as the next assault mech, so every weight class but the medium has jump capacity? )
