That's the final version of my repaint. Now with colored lasers, less border and some minor fixes.

It's miles better than the original. And nothing can trumph egg walkers, really (at least in this timeline).

Confession time: Did not see this coming.

How do you pronounce Cicada anyway?

This way or that way

It is named after the insect. sɪˈkdə or sɪˈkɑːdə

Maybe down the road a bit we'll run across the meatball-headed cousin of the Cicada...Strider. ;)

Its a testament to FD's talent that he manages to make what I always regard as a comical looking mech into a pretty badass mech.

I've like each and every one of his re-designs. What a talented individual, PGI is really lucky to have him on-board with them!

this mech will be garbage if it retains the lack of torso twist like it had in mw2:mercs... :\

@Garth Erlam

In Australia we pronounce it as "Se-Car-Da".

Most definately one of my favorites of the Classic Battletech era. With speed so high you can race around an opponent, and getting the highest modifer for speed. Shooting in someones back arc was never this easy.

@Eradicator

From the picture it looks like there is a fairly obvious distinction between torso and legs (unlike in the original version). So it looks like it can torso twist.

Actually, I think in the original art, it's a reverse joint. While not as obvious in the TRO: 3025, it's more obvious here:

http://www.sarna.net...050U_Cicada.jpg

It is actually double jointed, one on the "hip", one near the "ankle"

No. That's why there's the second sentence you cut out: "And nothing can trumph egg walkers, really (at least in this timeline)." :rolleyes:

Ki-kei-da or sikeida. Its a type of insect, kinda like a fat dragonfly after it sheds it's husk to grow wings.
