Can't wait for the ARROW...AKA mother ******* cruise missile. Even have a clusterbomb/mine version.
Though most of that crap was not mounted on mechs...rather vehicles... Also used against static defenses not units.

An overlap is not a gap.

The Medium-Range Missile Launcher . MRMs are dead-fire missiles that are fired more like lasers than missiles. In order to pack as many missiles as possible into one salvo, scientists removed guidance systems and made the whole package smaller. Though this was seen as a step backwards in technological development, the inexpensive and deadly MRMs have spread throughout the Draconis Combine and to many mercenary units.
The lack of a guidance system and unique nature of MRMs means that they are incompatible with special munitions and advanced guidance systems, though they can be prepared as a single-shot system. The inherent inaccuracy of MRMs is reflected in game terms with a +1 to hit.
The MRM-40 is the largest and bulkiest of the MRMs.

I am goping for a timeline jump after they finish introducing the clans. I have no information backing me up, just a hope. There is a lot of neat stuff that we could have if we jump ahead 8 years, but it will also require a lot of work and balancing.

SRM's (hence the term MISSILE, not rocket) are supposed to be semi-guided munitions. So MRM's would have mild guidance, but not good ones, anyway.
Not sure why they made SRMs essentially dumb fire rockets, but w/e. Personally, I think SRMs in this game (not SSRMs) suck *** so I don't used them.
