Too expensive to purchase. I have deep pockets full of MC, but the prices for the seasonal items is far too high.

I'm not buying anything from this patch. The hero mech costs more than I think it's worth. The decorations are way expensive. I'll spend my MC on premium time and regular mechs.

When the game has so many issues should you really waste time on this kind of staff?

Is it that hard to comprehend that the artists that are making christmas tree models and textures are not the same dudes that are programming the netcode, UI, etc?

Are you kidding me????
These prices are just a bit too high dont you think?
I see alot of founders here agree with me on this point based on the posts.

Stop trying to fatten the bosses xmas bonus, and lower the prices.

The game is in beta, why are these not..."Hea thanks for showing intrest in our game (and buying it up front founders) heres some cool items at a reasonable cost".

Playing your game should make me feel like a mech pilot, not ned beatty from deliverance.

It does kind of create a nice scarcity of items.... as in you won't see every single person rocking an Atlas santa... It makes them more unique for the people who shell out the dough.

But alas, I have, you know, real people in my life that deserve christmas presents, and those aren't made of pixels....

Actually, except the person owning it, NOONE will see them rocking anything at all. Since they're INSIDE the cockpit, you know?

lol, i had thought the last patches cockpit items were just on the edge of being too much

1250 for christmas lights sure makes a Kurita banner i cant see for 250 seem like a good deal...

I haven't launched the game yet but if what everyone says is true, I won't be paying more than $3 for Christmas lights in my mech.

Please reduce pricing for the "fluff" stuff and I may start paying. $6 is unreasonable and I will not be purchasing.

Also, it'd be nice for some of these options and add-ons to be purchasable through C-Bills (even if they're stupid expensive)... i would just like that option. Thank you!

Not going to happen. They gotta pay the bills and feed the dog.

The high prices for most of the holiday novelty items just tells me that I can do without them.

Not everything, just some. Sort of like they did w/ the basic colors for paint-jobs. I know those that only want to spend C-bills will get the less fancy stuff, but at least they can participate in the decorations ;)

I think I figured out what is causing all the sticker shock. It's like the back of the Christmas card where you have 2 prices. One is U.S. $ the other is CDN $. They just mistakenly put up the CDN price on the U.S. users screens. Just tell the clerk at the MC$ register that you want the U.S. price and I'm sure they can straighten it all out for you.

If the Items would cost 1/10 Id buy all of them. At that price, none.

Now if someone on my team dies and I am still alive, I can imagine them spectating my cockpit and thinking "What a jerk. Look at all this MC only junk he's bought!"

Like the original post stated, I am SURE they just made a mistake in the purchase price of certain items. I am positive that this mistake will be rectified in order to maintain a revenue stream and customer good will.

of course I could be wrong and the game will price itself into oblivion, that would make me sad because I want to see the game do well.

You are failing to grasp the asburdity of setting prices at these levels for digital cosmetic items. The cost per unit production is drastically smaller than a comparable physical item as there is a one-time fixed cost vs a per-unit manufacturing cost on top of the sunk cost of designing/tooling for a physical item. There's a reason the software industry has margins in the ~30% range while manufacturing is much lower.

Never fear everyone. The road map http://mwomercs.com/...-nov-27th-2012/ says this is just part 1. Part 2 comes in a couple of weeks. So everyone gets a second chance. They will get a chance to change pricing and you'll get another chance to buy cool holiday items. Everyone will win in the end!
