The Gauss fix was much needed to balance the Gauss rifle. Cats were going dual gauss rifles and 3 shotting people. The weapon now is balanced and now that it's balanced a lot of people (especially cats) are rethinking carrying 2 of them since they can kill YOU now on an explosion. It WAS overpowered, now it IS balanced.
As far as all the complaining against ECM's... the solution is very simple, kill the ECM mech(s) FIRST, problem solved.

Wish the devs would erase their memory of TT as it's ruining this VIDEO game. TT is utterly irrelevant to this game, we are not on a table top, we are in a video game and that means it has to play like a video game. No fun = no money.
This, this, good God, this.
Way I see it, MWO needs to capture the -spirit- of tabletop, and use the stats, but keep in mind that it doesn't always translate. A perfect example is Dungeons and Dragons Online. They seen that tabletop rules could not translate well to an MMO, so they made huge changes. However, even though they made drastic changes to the system itself, they managed to keep true to the feel of DnD (Getting Gary Gygax and Dave Arneson to do voice-over work also helped.) Seems to me, that PGI just isn't learning from the right sources, EG: The ones that work.
