No you need at least 10 heatsinks to drive it. Of course it could be the worst since you cant even drop in it.

Twin 10s might be more effective if less annoying. I need to see if I can squeeze twin 20s in my 3C as a joke build. I have seen a single AC/20 Cicada that got two kills before it ran out of ammo just shy of a third. It was sick and wrong.

I once dropped with a guy who loaded an all ballistic and missile Atlas and forgot to load ammo. Granted it was a beast when he had ammo on the next drop.

I nominate my Atlas when everything has been blown completely apart, a walking red CT on cherry legs trying to make it all the way through the tunnel to cap with seven guys urging me on from the ghost seat, never knowing the last man on the other team was afk.

Not entirely true:

SPL are pretty weak, granted, but they are not useless:
I run a Cicada 3M right now and I was getting bored with using 4ml all the time (especially since I used 4-5ml on the 2a for a long while).
So I gave SPL a try in the last few games, since they have the same weight as ML and I can afford the higher heat without any problems.
They lack range and have a lower dps (4spl vs 4ml = 4,36 vs 5dps) but they have half the duration which makes it way easier to hit components precisely while performing hit and run attacks at 148kph, especially since the mounts of the cicada 3m are all in the torso (no vertical movement).

His mech was painted purple....also he got 3 kills that match but still ....funny to say the least.

If that's still too good, I suggest removing the SSRM2 and load up on a NARC.

I agree that the stock 9M is garbage

But I ran the 2LRM15 trial AWS to make cbills to buy my first CMDs, and It was by far the best trial mech at the time, with 23 HS and 2 LL.... really pretty good actually. LRMs were way strong then too
