Most people say they don't want Coolant Flush, but me personally, if there is Tech in BT that requires crit space/tonnage I would like it added for the customization aspect of the Mech Lab. I would rather CF simply be a piece of equipment you place on your Mech, known as the Coolant Pod.

we think alike!

i can buy a raven 3L with MC
i can buy a catapult A1 with MC
i can buy a cataphract 3D with MC
i can buy an atlas DDC with MC

it's already pay 2 win then, right?

oh, no? because i can buy them with cbills? sort of like how they say you'll be able to buy these modules with cbills too? all right then.

the point is, most of these modules could be pretty expensive and require premium accounts, hence the p2w feel to it.

I kill 3L's all the time in my 3M, usually due to them being terrible pilots and/or the fact that the 3M has ECM means the Raven has to drop the shield to be able to attack, which means my team can it it with LRM's and Streaks. I would not, however, stand a chance vs myself in a 3L. The 3M, on the other hand, would be able to own a DDC, whereas, the 3L doesn't stand a chance if it has streaks.

I've killed a number of D-DCs in both both the -3M and the -2A, in addiiton to pretty much every jenner, and the -3L speed is pretty much all that is required.

not pay to win, but it would have made an excelent craven hunter.
As if its pilots would have gone only after 3Ls ... :D

I think ohto may have meant that the DDC might have Streaks? Otherwise it should be a rather easy win indeed - but an Atlas that can hurl SSRMs should be a challenge, no?

Let's just imagine it cost 200 MC or 200K C- Bills.
If you pay for it you'll get 2 or more every round, if you rely on c-bills you'll be losing virtual money.

:D :P

Consumables are f***ing awesome.

Heat Flush Is fine for this, as It Is only usable a limited amount of times.. maybe even just once.

Is It really so bad?

So Op....what exactly is Coolant Flush in this game? I know what a Coolant POD is, but that's not a FLUSH. Please link the description and information about what Coolant Flush is in terms to how it applies in MWO. Till then, with no info, I cannot give an informed vote.

I have no idea what you are talking about but that was not a mechwarrior or battletech game.

"Actually, that's not entirely accurate" (Independence Day) It was based on the MechWarrior series and it had one feature that made it very special; the ability to get out of your Mech and thieve someone else's. The combat in places was more Arcade which lent itself to our X Box brethren; and the most important thing of all was that it gave us all another Mech game while we were waiting for MWO. http://xboxmedia.ign...05070014195.jpg

Coolant flushes will just be another tactical option at your disposal. It'll most likely be one use per match, so choosing when to use it should add to the excitement.

Lighten up guys.

Runs on a meter: hold button, cooldown faster. Makes Alpha-boats have no consequences in heat.

Well I felt the same way except about JJs! Buuuut... when I really think about it the 5-X errr whuteva it's called, it does bring some flavor to the table like most others so can't complain much there anymore, otherwise I'd just be trollin myself... oh wait PGI, you and 5 others have already done that.. congratulations.

I'm sure everyone remembers that sunny day PGI said something about "NO COOLANT FLUSH EVER", as it would create too many imbalances they couldn't fix.

So good to see that they're good on their word.

Hyperbole... the best way to make any feedback entirely pointless. :D

I don't think the OP was that hyperbolic.

It was a straightforward question, and nowhere did he say "PGI sucsk" or "PGI is ruining the game" or "PGI doesn't know what they are doing."

I wanted coolant flushes. They've been in every mechwarrior game since MW3.

you should've quit back when open beta started then, seeing as how every single variant of every single mech in the entire game is available for MC as well

Q: Have you guys considered adding Coolant Pods to increase heat dissipation of a mech's heatsinks when used? [vayne]
A: Yes, we considered and then dropped the idea. We found it more of a crutch and lead to more issues than it helped with. If you're in a long, multi-targetted single player game, it makes sense. In a player vs. player environment you get a MASSIVE increase in firepower for no cost, or it wouldn't be enough to make a difference (IE. the match would never last long enough for you running out of coolant to matter, because you've already killed two people. Or, it doesn't even last a single fight, then why even have it?) Does that make sense? [Garth]

This will become mandatory equipment. Evey mech will now have one less module slot available as they'll all have to take coolant flush.
