And the coolant pods take up critical slots and explode when hit for 20 internal damage each?

That's correct I suppose. Can't say for sure until we know the cost. If it's more c-bills than you can reasonably earn in a match, then we are dealing with a gold-ammo situation.

3 variant unlock isn't even that hard. the only mech I had any difficulty with was the atlas and that wasn't even that bad.

My issue is why bother listenng to anything posted by devs at all now? Clan mechs wont be MC only? why not gives Money.

cant wait to 3 shot 90% of the mechs in this game in 6 seconds with 4-5 PPC stalkers.

What are you complaining about? They go broke, have to turn this into freeware, we start running our own servers. we get it all....win......or I think.

Fair enough, thanks. I did miss this when I skimmed. Doesn't change my overall take on it but it puts some of the hand wringing into perspective.

It takes two c-bill modules to get the effect of one MC module.

Hmm, although this makes me sad, i suppose it's kind of funny to make money out of people who can't manage their heat. I just hope it's gonna be expensive.

Clearly better? How so? MC for single use 35%, C-bills for double use 20%. 20% x 2 = 40%.

Wipe your backside with 150 grit sandpaper and then again with 120 grit. Let me know which is clearly better.

I'm glad I waited, was going to purchase more MC to do some exp => gxp conversions. Not sure I'll be buying anything in this game anymore.

A one time coolant flush breaks things how? Ooh that 6 PPC sniper just saved himself ONE time from shutting down. Next alpha he shuts down.

Oh and they are using up a module slot of something that could be more useful passively for the ENTIRE match. Ridiculous how some people can jump the completely wrong conclusion despite the information layed out clearly in front of them.

what if the airstrike doesnt do area effect dam...

what if the arty strike does little damage...

what if coolant is super cheap for c-bills and give no advantage to people buying with mc...

what if... IT DOESNT BREAK THE GAME...

wouldnt you all feel silly? maybe just wait an see? maybe?

Ok I know there is alot of anger fuming on the forums right now. But I would like a few more details if possible.

1) Given the current double heatsink math of 1.4 heat per double heatsink will the coolant flush increase by the 1.4 cooling factor? Or do doubles still only count as technically One heatsink?

2) Is there any sort of cap on the coolant flush? For example if a mech has 20 heatsinks can it stack the small and medium coolant flush and still get a 70% heat reduction, or a mech with 30 heatsinks get 105%?

3) if you hit the flush with heat lower then the gained values from Coolant Flush will it just zero out your heat?

4) Why did you guys go back on stating that coolant flush was a crutch and wouldnt be added?

it can be used twice. Which means it'll make some mechs able to alpha strike 2 or 3 times more before overheating. Doesn't sound like balance to me
