Because it really just seems like a massive gimmick that is going to create an unbalanced, gamebreaking **** show.

Imagine getting nailed by a 6PPC Stalker. Aaaand then getting hit by him again because he bought a Large Cooling with REAL MONEY and flushed all of his heat...

1 Round consumables is just not a good thing.
IMO, no consumable item in this game could be a good thing.

Well this post certainly caused the community to go ape. Of course that's because most people glossed over it and saw that as is, MC version will be better than c-bill version.

If you read it closely 2 sets of keywords jump out at you:


Examples of planned consumables:


Note: The values above are subject to tuning pending further gameplay testing.

What this means is that:

1: Coolant Flush may very well NOT be included in the game.

2: MC only Version may NOT necessarily be better than c-bill versions.

3: You should not freak out YET.

These consumables probably won't appear in PUG games, people are there to earn monies, whether in a group or not. Competitive 8 mans however, people who have enough money and want the win you'll see them there.

I agree though the airstrike and artillery should require the command console to use.

I wonder if all the Chicken Littles realize that, unless you're running a crazy heat-spike build (PPC boat) the Cb versions will likely be more useful for anyone that knows how to manage heat....

Hmm, although this makes me sad, i suppose it's kind of funny to make money out of people who can't manage their heat. I just hope it's gonna be expensive.

It's not P2W unless the cost in CBills are so prohibitive that MC or premium are the only reasonable ways to get it.


The cbill version requires 2 module slots for the same function.

A mech with 2 module slots caps faster (targets faster, holds lock longer, artillery strikes(?) aso.) with the MC coolant.

This is p2w by the definition that you cannot aquire the same with cbills this is even more articulated through the fact how scarce module slots on mechs are.

Doesn't matter this whole thing is pay-2-win. If it isn't removed I am leaving. I have no interest in playing a game where whether I win depends on how much money I put into it. Hero mechs are OK because they are not unbalanced OP; paying for items is not. GG PGI.

Not really. It is just going to lead to more things that the matchmaker can't take into account. We already have that issue with ECM, now you are adding 3 new things on top of that?

For instance, two teams, similar ELO...but one team has 3 ECM, 4 mechs with coolant module, and a couple mechs with airstrike.

Other team has 1 ECM 1 coolant and 1 airstrike.

You might as well give team 1 an extra mech.

Yea i was thinking the same but i can see a 4 man Splat cat team using air and artillery on others without remorse. It could end up bad.

look kid. this game is being made by PGI. A game company involved with duke nukem.

They decided they couldn't be successful as a F2P
and went P2W.
They don't have the ambition. They don't have the ability. And have settled back into making a C rated game like they used to.

the best thing to do now is to chalk it up as, that a MW game can still hold interest. and hope that in the future a better company will have influence over the IP.
