I don't think you speak for "Most of the Community" DCM Zeus. And your post fails to identify which "Pay To Win" complaint you have exactly.

He covered it in every other topic he made and PGI deleted

For sure it has to be repurchased for every match?

lol, if so, I could give a flying frak about any of it then. i was hoping by "consumable" they meant you bought the coolant flush module, once, and then it was "consumable" like ammunition in game. If I have to buy it all the time, pfft, forget it. I got mechs to buy. And guns and lasers and cool ****, cooler **** then antifreeze.

Well not every match, but every time you use it you need to rebuy it. And that's the thing that gets me, we don't even know what it costs yet and people are going ballistic. I assume it might be something cheap like 75mc, similar to the single use Camo pattern. As for CB? probably will cost more than what you make in a match. 50-100k CB maybe.

Agreed. If you look back at my posts, I have defended PGI's decisions many times in the past when people have said they were going toward P2W, but this is too far.

Gold-only stuff is the reason I ended up leaving WOT. Please do not make this same mistake, PGI.

As this is a hot topic debate, everyone surely has an opinion on the matter which they would like to express. Unfortunately when many players open up their own duplicate threads on the exact same topic it becomes difficult if not impossible for us to guarantee that all opinions are heard. To this end, all threads discussing the matter of Coolant Flush and other such modules are being merged to one place for easier reference. Please do not be upset: We do this to ensure that everyone involved in the matter from the Dev Team can see your opinion. Thanks!

A more deft hand could have been used. It looks like you guys are trying to bury the issue rather than spurn any discussion on the topics. You should have created a few pinned threads, and said there will be dev feedback from only these threads, so if u want your voice to be heard post here. One could have been a poll about, whether any pay consumables would be acceptable. The second thread could have been a poll about which specific consumables would the customers being wiling to pay for, also taking community suggestions for new consumables. A third thread could have been a discussion about what should a paid experience get you.

Your panic mode decision to merge everything into a old thread makes it look like you're trying to hide and silence, rather than foster discussion and debate.

This is a f*cking disaster. You're gonna enjoy losing half your customers PGI.

F2P games don't rely on constant customers, just lots of little transactions.

All the extremely loyal founders currently keeping this puppy floating are also, and probably disproportionately to the general population even, extremely anti-pay2win.

PGI, please do not get so impatient to monetize that you make a deal with the P2W devil... It'll be a Faustian bargain. I know you need more money to get Community Warfare made, and I know there is a lot of pressure to keep up the maps and mechs, but maybe double the rate of hero mechs (those so far are not P2W). Or have ALL consumables have Cbill/MC prices. ANYTHING is better than Pay2win and I really hope you see that before it's too late.

EVE Online almost asploded at the thought of gold ammo, don't think your community is more loyal than theirs.

Case of the PPC stalker, fire once. Coolant AND override. Fire second time, shutdown. If they override, well they are so far in the red by now they'd probably melt their own engine and insta die or for the cannibals out there, well you have your House of choice. Would you like some fried Kuritan. How about Rasalhague flambe. Baked Davion. Broiled Steiner. Oooh oooh how about some Steamed Liao. And Marik soup du jour.

As with all games the devs won't rethink or recant especially when money coming their way is involved. Games more about money than producing quality now.

Seems that way now doesn't it?

I thought PGI was doing great, until this trash showed up.

So MWO jumped the shark today. Don't know what to think about that. It's not like the game's going to die out, there are plenty of pay to win games. The problem though is credibility. They solicited money from a lot of people (founders packages and the like) under the auspice of not being a P2W game. Then they went P2W. This damages credibility and creates, to put it politely, trust issues.

I wonder how many people who paid for founders packages are happy with the concept or upset. I wonder how many are excited about the prospect of a functional P2W mechanic that will allow them to just buy advantages and what the next P2W items will be.

Do we have a choice? Its going to be a semantics game now on verbiage the likes of which have not been seen since bill clinton gave his version of the acts performed in the white house.

I don't care about any other consumable modules, but Coolant Flush is a stupid idea. Real DHS were considered overpowered, but a button that clears off a huge chunk of your heat isn't?
