U-Ac/5 Unjamming Problems

Every match I've run my Dual UAC5 DDC since the patch, I've lost one of my guns to a full reload bar.

Not sure what's causing this (since I was quite busy every time this happened), but it's likely related to the second shot while reloading. One of my group mates related losing both of his guns to this phenomena.

As there were no listed changes to the gun (other than the reduction in screen shake) I have to assume this is a bug and not a balancing tweak.

I've been using triple UAC5s on the new mech and they occasionally jam permanently, though I'm not sure if it's limited to the IM.They only seem to do this when double tapped. A friend experienced the same issue with an identical setup and I've had it happen two matches in a row.

I have this happening on my CTF-4X. Going to ac/2s until this is fixed.

Same, just came to post a thread on this. Going to unequip it till a hot fix.

Seeing as not just me, obviously a bug.

First shot in the game it jammed, then gone for the rest of the fight. Lets just say I wasn't too happy lol.

On the plus side, Downgrading to AC5s gives you 2 tons and 2 crits, so it's fairly usable. Just would rather the UACs.

Just played two rounds with my Cataphract CTF-4X. I has 2 x u ac/5 and 2x ac/5. After a few shots with the UAC/5 it jammed and wouldn't unjam. When looking at the weapon in your right display it got stuck on the reload bar and wouldn't reload. It happened both matches. Making me a walking bomb with 70 rounds of u ac/5 ammo still on my mech.

Just great. They made the gauss rifle explode in 90% of the time, ssrm2 are now useless because of ECM, LRM ditto. Hrmmp. I know ppl hated those weapons, but come on!

for example my 4G does not jam ( 2 x ultra ac5) works perfect, but all my atlases jam, so it seems only certain mechs get jammed

i just had another game after i took off my uac 5's from my atlas and re mounted them, i just had a game, i didnt have a problem

I can confirm this, had a teammate asking if they changed uac/5 unjamming this patch because his were permajammed.

wow! It would be sweet if that was an intended effect. In Tabletop if you get a jam ona UAC, its permanent. A 5 second delay was kind of a joke. I hope this is on purpose. Now if they can give the gauss a minimum range of 60, and fix flamers, I'll be really happy.

I had mine jam for the whole match on my Ilya, Hunch 4G, 4H and a Cent 9A. WIll test others when I can.

The jam % in MWO is 25% on a double shot. In TT it is 2.77%. Huge difference.

Who would use a gun that has a 1/4 chance to jam for an entire fight anyways. Looks like people need to use regular AC/5 till this perm-jam bug is fixed.

Does the HUD say "Weapon Jammed" and the weapon red in the weapon groups element? or does the cooldown bar just not start moving?

The cooldown bar never changes from full red, this occurs after the "Weapon Jammed" message has gone

The HUD never displayed a warning message, the cooldown bar just stops.

The HUD says the weapon is unjammed but the cooldown bar doesnt move to "ready to fire". It stays at you just fired

For me the cooldown bar stops moving. But I think I got a jam first. Then after it was cleared the bar stopped moving.

It is only a 25% chance to jam if you use the double tap, the UAC has a faster ROF than the regular AC5 already. If the jam is working correctly then the UAC can be an excellent weapon. Right now we are seeing a permanent jam and the "signal to fire" the weapon seems to sensitive. I will push my L mouse button and hold it down a bit too long (not enough to fire a second shot) but I see the weapon jam before the second shot (which I am not trying to fire) comes out.

I can confirm this on a dragon as well, 2 games, 2 perma jams within a couple minutes of the match starting, very frustrating.

Weapon jams and the cooldown bar sticks at max.
