Please play 8 man games and stop coming to annoy us in our fun games by pubstomping us.

Stop farming exp and cred and play on equal footing please.

We are, 8 versus 8. The weight classes even match up. Everyone on here keeps boasting that they don't need silly things like comm's or decent builds to win with their elite skills but somehow these mediocre players with little more than the ability to talk with each other keep stomping them. Odd that.

I can't tell what he's asking here, can you guys? Near as I can tell, he's getting upset because the matchmaker randomly put two 4 mans on the enemy team.

Either that, or he's complaining about 2 mans. I'm honestly not sure which.

Probably sync drops to have 2 4 man teams drop together. I read somewhere in the forums that some people still do it. Would be a matchmaker issue if the game still allows it to happen.

Elizander is right and the two before him aren't I don't complain about team I complain about double 4 team that comm together.

The matchmaking should'nt allow it to happen simply by synchro clicking

On the plus side, syncing isn't a perfect science so you may end up with 4mans on both sides! Then you just gotta hope they're not goons who will wait till you're all dead to hounoure duel in the caldera.

OP is talking about Sync dropping (I'm pretty sure he is anyway).

Sync dropping is a problem in many team based games, I've seen in in WoW, TOR, and others (gets worse when you have teams doing win-trades in ladder competitions). In this game it is more obvious when it happens, especially so when you recognise groups (or see them in a channel further down in TS).

Unless they can come up with a technical solution that forces groups to seed with groups that they haven't dropped with before, or a certain amount of matches before you can be in the same match as a team you've been with before, there isn't really a way to stop it. Even that wouldn't be perfect.

TBH as far as I'm concerned it goes against the spirit of the game. I'd love to see it as a reportable offense, but it would be way to hard to moderate sadly. Only way to get people to stop is to encourage them to go back to 8v8. I'm not one for laying helpings of scorn on people who do such a thing, but it does need to be discouraged and the community is the first and probably best place to start doing that.

Some matches I was in tonight I'm pretty sure were against sync dropped teams, because they were a little *to* well coordinated in their response to some things and the way they would focus down single targets and all switch together, but I don't really have any proof beyond observations. having said that though, you can achieve decent coordination by typing out orders and information from scouting (my friend thinks I type to much at times, which is apparently a good thing. >.>)

Rannos, He is talking about EVE Online. Goon Squad is a corp (guild/clan) there, with craploads of players. A Drake is a (cheap, easy to access) missile boat (think catapult), that can fire from something like 20-200 KM depending on hardware. (it's been a few years since I played EVE.

It's perfectly acceptable for 4-man teams to stomp the living crap out of pugs.

But it's not ok for people to double-sync drop and 8-man group to stomp 4-man groups?

You would think that a clan with 5000 people would be able to find 8 good mechwarriors. The blob won't be effective in 8v8 but they have a big pool to pick from. Why those good mechwarriors want to play with 4000+ ****** players is beyond me tho and I often wonder what determines who is the best 8 when you have so many.

Often, people that play think they are better than what they are while better talent is left on the sideline. Goons clearly advertise quantity over quality and their greatest strength is their biggest weakness.

We don't tolerate mediocrity in our clan while the goons do. To each their own.

Oh, what does that have to do with anything? SA is a community in the hundreds of thousands. Some of us have never even heard of EVE.

Difference is a single 4 man team is playing within the game system. Sync dropping is gaming the system to a deliberate advantage that is outside the means of PuGs and single groupers, and against the spirit in which the 4 man group system is intended. Fact of the matter is, if you have 8 people, you should play in 8v8, that is what it is there for.

Hey now, let's stop knocking EVE. It's easily one of the best and most original MMOs out there. There hasn't been a game before or since that has the sheer amount of freedom to do whatever the hell you want to.

I find that a lot of people that dislike EVE are usually those who tried mining and went "This game is dumb".

Damn, now I want to go resub to EVE.
