Everyone loves Urbanmech. Everyone knows that Urbanmech is strong.

Just how strong?
Who would you like to see Urbanmech curbstomp to doom?
Who do you think would make Urbanmech break a sweat?
This is like celebrity deatmatch, only with a resident champion.

We're talking about an ambush, right?

Yeah, Urbie can be ambushed, if you think it raises the odds for the contestant...

If it's the Urbanmech that gets ambushed the Urbabmech wins every match, as no mechwarrior has the patience to wait as long it would take an urbanmech to get anywhere by foot and the opposing forces would leave frustrated and annoyed after a few weeks.

Or is it because they are scared, and do not want to admit it?

I doubt that, the urbanmech is one of the most underrated mechs in the BT Universe. Almost everyone thinks he's a joke, both the people who love it and the people who hate it do so for the very same reason; they think the Urbie is just a sad attempt at humor, a kind of comic relief in the world of magic space robot combat.
There are only very few people who like it for it's capabilities as a cheap and expendable urban defense mech that can pack quiet a punch for it's light weight and cheap price.

Sorry but Urbie is round and smooth, attempting to kick him will surely result into a sprained ankle for that dragon.

I remember that you could get it in BattleTech: The Crescent Hawk's Inception (or was it revenge?) from the Arena. You'd get one assigned sometimes if you chose to lend a mech instead of using your own... in turn you could blast the walls and escape with it, using it for the rest of the campaign. It's also in the original Tabletop, including a Clanvariant, the Urbanmech IIC.
