Heres a good beta guide. basic
The Good:
1. DO report bugs with vast amounts of information, screenshots and timestamps.
2. DO test as many features as possible in as many ways as possible.
3. DO consult with other tester's for answer's to potential problems you maybe experiencing in-game before making an angry post in the forums.
4.DO suggest as many changes with as many justifications for your creative suggestion's.
5.DO support creative new approaches to in-game abilities,play styles and progression types.

The Bad:
1. DO NOT play the beta like a shareware demo - It's a beta,
2. DO NOT come to the forums to complain at dev's and players alike because "the servers are down AGAIN!"
3. DO NOT play the beta for 1 day, then proceed to come and make final judgement's on "how utterly terribad this game is" because your experience was not what you expected.

This is beta... it is beta for as long as the developers are calling it beta. Did anyone else here play the APB: Reloaded beta? It was beta for a long, long time.

We knowi its a Beta. But even as a beta it doesn't meet expectations. Other Beta games and direct competition to this one like Hawken and Planeside 2 have gotten nominated for game of the year 2012 while this game hasnt.

I think the game has real potential and I also think that gamers in general have become increasingly more impatient with products myself included. As a database and .Net developer myself, I can kind of understand the pressure and challenges the Devs face. It's not an easy job especially with a project as complex as a video game

People will keep on insisting this is beta regardless of how many 'purchased' in game items are made available. If they are taking money on a regular basis it is released to anyone with a shred of common sense.

So going OB brought a lot of new blood into the test.
Im sure we all saw the forum posts about KDR during CB,come on its beta and going to be reset so who cares. But those players were not really helping find bugs or test things anyway.
I remember Beta testing games alpha/cb where you had to put full reports in weekly about bugs showing time, how it occurred and you could cause the bug to happen everytime.

And how would you know bro? The CBT testers put TONS of bug reports in... And you know what? Some of the CBT stuff still isnt fixed.

i was there also in Cb. But i never said everyone, that guy said he didnt care because they dont. SO whats the point of having him in beta?
Beta is about bug testing and making the game better for when its Officially released. I have alpha/closed and open betad more games than a lot of people have played and this is the worse community ive seen in a long time.
I think all of us here want this game to succeed but threads like Nerf This , this game sucks, and the rest of this drivel on this forum isn't helping.
We have a chance to have a great mechwarrior game that people have been waiting 10 years for and all this community does is Bit** and moan instead of trying to make the game better.(constructively)
