Is there anything as far as a EULA, or Terms of Use Agreement that states, "All purchases in Life are final"? I've been talking to GOD and I'm on the brink of never playing this Life again, let alone spend money on it.

Seriously, the game totally blows, you dont even get to respawn.

if you want respawns go back to TF2

I'd be more intrested to have a reply on where the 5+ mil from the founders fundraiser went.

I've seen (without proof!) posts claiming that only about 1,5 mil went into MWO.

A refund would be understandable if it were a paid for only service and within a certain time frame, but you can earn the money to buy 'Mechs and equipment, so paying for anything was for your convenience.

Thanks for another example. I can do this all day at this rate. My question is, other than ask a valid question, what did i do that should preclude me from these oh-so-enlightening forums? Am I single-handedly lowering the quality of conversation?

People can read between the lines, and are reacting negatively not to your question, but to the mentality behind it.

Do you REALLY think a company, or for that matter, a society, could function if the customers could buy a product, use it, and get fully refunded afterwards? That's so irrealist that it means either a severe lack of logic, or an egocentric mindset (of course it can't work if everyone does it, but "I" should be entitled to...).

And the trolling was prettty mild so far, nothing worth being worked up about.

Just because they berate you for not doing a simple ctrl+f on the eula, does not make them trolls. Also, it is best to expect any online purchase to be final, unless stated otherwise.

You mean it isn't the job of people online to spoonfeed this man information he is too lazy to search for?

PGI will be happy to give you a refund, after all the game is still in "beta".

Because you decided you don't like the game you feel your entitled to a refund? LOL...

Isn't that how refunds usually work? Not satisfied with the product/not as advertised/just plain broken, so you return it?

I read the OP as a question about getting refunded in MC for a purchase or multiple purchases that were in MC. "Is there anything as far as a EULA, or Terms of Use Agreement that states, "All MC purchases are final"?" The next statement could easily mean [I bought the wrong mech], [they won't reverse the transaction], and [I'm so angry about it I'm going to quit].

Murphy, are you saying that you made MC purchases you want reversed, and PGI's attitude about it has you thinking about not playing anymore? Or did you mean that you are unhappy with the game, and you want to be refunded for the money you put into it. It sounds like all of these comments are assuming the latter.

On the former though, I did make a C-Bill purchase at one point in error, and support at least reversed it for me as a one-time thing. If you're talking about having bought the wrong variant of a mech, or something like that, they might be able to help you. Since you're already talking to them though, I guess you've probably worked through all that already... In my case I was looking at my Commando 2D and it had Artemis installed... for some reason. I removed it and they credited my account (one time only). Free do over. It was C-Bills though, not MC.

Best of luck with your problem there.

All the time? I've returned OS'es, Office, SAS, SPSS, Photoshop, etc. Course, I work in IT, so there is that bias, but you can in fact get refunds for games. Ask the buttloads that got one for Diablo 3. I'm also pretty sure other players have been able to get a refund for MWO.

Payments in online games are ALWAYS nonrefundable, as they should be. It's the same with phone minutes, text messages, etc. After all, you can't give them back their product to resell, can you? How can they afford to give back your money? You may not have thought of it this way, but asking for a refund in this kind of game is asking them to give you what you bought for free.

That being said, you CAN still get refunds for these kinds of things if you pitch it correctly and can argue coherently that you have a legitimate grievance. This is usually a function of the company's other policies, often related to customer relations - I've seen fast food customers get refunds for food they'd actually eaten.

Are you unhappy with your purchases? Call your credit card company, and ask them for advise.

He's got a point. This is an ecommerce transaction. Call your bank, charge it back..or call PGI and threaten with a chargeback. Either they'll refund you, or they'll tell you to dispute it. No credit card processor likes accounts, especially ecommerce accounts that get a lot of disputes (I work for one). After a certain number of chargebacks, the merchant's services company may just turn them off....it's not the best course of action, but as a consumer, it's one of our protections.

However, it really depends on what you what a refund of. If you wanted a refund of your founders but spent MC, they're probably not going to credit you, if you spent none, I believe they were refunding.

Buyers remorse.

Take some responsibility for your purchases and stop falling back on a good cry to get your way.

One of your protections against what? There is no mischief being done by PGI. Someone probably wants a new release video game for xbox and wants the money spent on this back.
