At $14.95/mo, Mwo Gives You Permanent Preem +500Mc, Worth It?

2) why "subscribe" to MWO when you dont need to? just buy MC when you need it. derp.
3) if MWO does have a monthly subscription at some point, I would expect to get a whole lot more than premium and 500 MC for $15.

Or skip the mechslot, and either bank 500 a month for a hero in about 12 months or convert 12500xp.
Or buy one vanity item, or a paintjob.
Worth it?
I think it is a great value. My plan is to only have premium on the weekends since I would be lucky to play for more than 1 hour during the week after work. But on the weekend I can make much better use of premium time.
8 days of premium (weekends) = 2000MC
1000MC per month in the "bank"

He's ... quoting the current price. For $14.95 you get a month of "premium time" with 500MC left over.
And to answer the question: Maybe in a year when the game is actually more than a half-finished 16 player FPS.

I agree with 2 and 3. 1 depends on your preference for games but it is one of the best FPS out there

See how 3,000 MC costs $14.95?
Now click on the "Add Time" button in the MechLab.
See how 30 days cost 2,500 MC?
So for hopefully the last time, the OP isn't talking about introducing a sub, he's asking if we think this is good value for money.

Oh no, absolutely. If you are really into this game it's not a bad deal and you're spot-on with a amount of money thing; it's why I bought the founders in the first place - I pick up bar tabs when out with friends that are more than that.
But I also don't light $20 bills on fire for the fun of it. For me there's just not enough game here yet to warrant spending $15 (or clicking my "premium time" button) on. I play other games that compete for my attention, and right now they're winning.

Bad investments (imho) at this time are the one-time paintjobs, the lights that cost as much as a Jenner, and banners you can't see that cost more than a mechbay. Granted, these may be "must-haves" for some, but even in comparison just to MC to MC value... leaves a bit to be desired.

or is it about converting it to GXP, which is about the slowest thing to get in the game (for modules that arent very useful, at the moment)

Well, it's a low down dirty trick.
I worked up some 100k+ spare XP on my Founder's Hunchback - because I needed to work up cash for other mechs. Ended up with over 50k Mech XP on the 4G that I could not spend. Converted it, unlocked all modules. *shrug*

Some people only want to play one variant of a chassis, so they use the convert function to unlock efficiencies on the variants they don't want to play.
Or so I've heard. Sounds like a bad proposition to me, but hey, whatever floats their boat...

Because the Dragon 1N is the most absolutely pathetic chassis I've ever had the displeasure of having to pilot. Seriously, those 2 missile hardpoints are useless garbage.
But I haven't done so yet. I really wanted to, but I managed to find a build that works. Of course, its a build that works on all dragons (1 Guass, 2 Large Lasers), but what the hell. Anything to get out of this awful variant.
