In 45 minutes, Encoding will be complete on a whole new line of "How to Drive" focusing this time, on the Catapult A1 Chassis. We are reviewing these 4 possible variants.

SRM 6 boat (36 SRM missile barrage)
SRM 6/4/Strk2 (20SRM/4Streak)
LRM boat (60 LRM's)
SRM 6/4 LRM 10 (20SRM 20 LRM)

The A1 is, in effect, a missile boat by hardpoint design, and im excited for you all to see the results of my research. Stay tuned.

Sincerely,
Speerit, Lance Commander of the Sentinel Hardline (Now Hiring)

Mmmmm perhaps "Official" was a heavy-handed term for me to use. I didnt mean to imply I am a PGI employee or anyone with any authority. I'm just a Mech Warrior and a pilot with a lot of experience behind me. Just clearing that up.

Little late, but here you go.

New video released minutes ago. This one is a guide to your new CATAPULT A-1 model. Specifically, how to set up, and pilot (with poor results) an SRM (short range missile) boat. (
Boat meaning PURE of one weapon)

The quality isnt as sharp as i was looking for, little frustrating. The original file was around 20 GIGAbytes. I must be compressing it wrong.

Nonetheless, enjoy this video, and give me your likes, shares, and comments please, help me get this channel off the ground.

EDIT:

Here is the SRM 2/4/6 cat. THIS mech is my most trusted, and is EXTREMELY successful.

The "General" area is meant for discussions, while a tutorial would be better suited to the "Guides" section. It would get more attention, and be better suited to help people there. Good work on the guide and video though :)

I don't think you handled the 6SRM6 cat very well in that game. I assure you that build is more than viable.

Terrible A1 build. I think I should make a video on how a REAL A1 build should go. I don't mean to brag, but I pride myself on my mech building skills.

I would make a video, however, I user MSI-Afterburner to record and I am not sure how to record my mic audio with it at the same time. If someone could elaborate, I will make a video after I wake up on how to make a pretty mean A1 build going through everything which includes ~cost, armor allocation, weapons, ammo/heat sink placement, upgrades and probably even a game play video if I can record with at least 30 frames average.

While I'm sure this is a useful video I can't make it through much of it. This isn't a comment on the actual content. I've been blessed/cursed with the ability to hear sounds more high pitch than the average person. Not that much higher but enough that certain old TVs and Monitors drive me nuts. Your video has a constant high pitched whine in the background that gives me a headache. I'm not sure what the source is or what you can do about it but I figured I should warn you.

Been rolling the hexapult (6x SRM6) A1 last couple of days... It just takes good handling.

If you have ECM coverage, LRM15x2 SSRM2x4 is quite good, can still fit an XL300+ammo in there.

Close-Combat-Mech which utilizes the speed of a snail? Even my slowest Atlas could run away from that 6 SRM-A1 :)

Granted, if you catch an Atlas from the back he's toast, but the speed is too slow for that to happen often. If he has some support you'll be dead before you arrive...

Standard engine in a catapult?

such a mistake.

You should be fitting an XL315 with the rest of that build the way it is.

Side torso are very hard to hit and the ammo should be in the legs not the arms or torso.

Your build is pretty terrible for that.

That's why I personally wouldn't ever touch the A1. I can't attach a TAG to it.

Protip: If caught by scout and unable to aim, mimic a shutdown and alpha his *** back to orbit when he stops circling. Works in 7 out of 10 cases.
