Well good news is that come next patch if they keep to the schedule they are improving new user experience by significantly improving the money you obtain from your first 25 matches to get that new shiny mech faster.

all of which is absolutely backwards. MC prices are out of wack and too high, they are applied to the WRONG things as well. . . 250MC for a COLOR, are you NUTS!

New Users have NO incentive to just sign up, log in and play this game. . . beyond buddies. After hearing their buddies mash on the game for a bit and then playing it a while themselves most new players will just excuse themselves. I have had five different friends of mine who all play a wide range of games give this game a try based on my finding, trying and suggesting they give it a shot. NONE OF THEM PLAY ANYMORE. Two of them played for a whole three hours, after an hour and a half I had to just about BEG them to keep going. One of them played for a total of a week, after which he said the frustration of all the bugs, cost of everything and lack of in game communication / support made it worthless to him (he only had any real support or information if I was on and available). The last two still play from time to time, one bought MC the other bought a founders pack. . . they both regret it entirely. PGI has not done one thing to make this game appealing to players who make it past their sound bites and overly edited video hooks and to be quite honest I'm about out of energy to recruit / educate & retain any more of my friends, or just people in general. I used to pay it forward like I was asked to do by those who welcomed me to the game by taking their time to get me in TS3, educate me on builds, tactics and just general game play (including currently broken stuff, bugs and other negative aspects that once were brought to light made things easier to understand, excuse and deal with).

Bottom line is PGI, you're running out of fanbois, supporters and time. . . here's a guy that came in no strings attached, gave it a go and by all reasonable expectations failed due to your lack of ability to put it together. . . now what?

Trial mechs are garbage, stop fooling yourself. They are under powered, over heat at push of one button, armor is worth crap, no way to adjust the configs at all and to top it off you start off fighting steath mechs using ecm. At least put ecm on trial mechs and fix the heat issues. Anyone to say the trial mechs are not that bad, stop fooling yourself, everyone for the most part and die hards know they are what they are, crap.

This is true, there is not much for new people and like I have been saying for a long time, if the do not get new blood, no new money is gonna flow to the dev team = dead game. You have very few new people playing, even fewer actually paying and now you have even die hards protesting to play due to netcode, bugs and the over power of ecm...not good business model if you ask me.

I personally am long time mech warrior fan. I have not paid so I have no reason to complain I guess. But the all out grind is terrible with little to nothing to show for all the effort. Yah yah, nice new shiney mech, but they are limited to chose from and frankly it is boring running same ole mechs and same ole maps for hours upon hours.

Now pay to win. Well this is play to win model. We were told, no one would get any enhancements other than visual effects, extra mech bays and such. Well now we have hero mechs which allow you to get varients that are not available to all, even the grinders. The fact that you can cut your grind in half is also an enhancement by buying mech cash and premium time. You collect cbills and xp A LOT faster, this is also an enhancement for pay to win people. Its not just visual effects people are buying, they are buying stuff that you can not get by grinding that give you and edge, even so small, which I am sorry to say, is pay to win.

So....the op is right for the most part and I have to agree. Little fan fare for the new people coming to play this game. I for one have noticed in the matches I have been playing. Either it be solo drops, 4 man or 8 man, I keep seeing the same people on both sides, not new faces or players. I do thing the reciept for disaster has been made, and one helliva hole to dig out of.

Flame away, just an honest opinion

I bought the commando 2D hoping that it would become better, only to find out that i am still a free kill. All of the other players in lights have a higher movement and turn speed so as soon as i meet someone that is not completely ******** i am a free kill. It is not even possible to play my actual role as a scout class because meeting an enemy scout means im dead. As a "scout" i am more effective running circles around ally atlasses than actually scouting at the moment.
I understand that players that play longer are supposed to have a slight advantage but right now it is so ridiculous that roles becomes completely unplayable.

I wish I lived in Australia, their minimum wage means their super market workers get paid as much I did when I first started in my field. (thats accounting for currency value difference)
