I hope that they allow the base Stalker 3F to become a 3Fb.

That does look tasty.

This is the new user experience version .05

It is not even version 1.0, this is a stopgap step before full implentation of whatever version 1.0 is. Version 1.0 is slated for sometime in the early new year.

The "This is just a beta" excuse stopped being applicable when PGI started advertising the game on gaming websites (e.g. actively drawing in new players).

The vast majority of players expect beta to be close to a finished product; It's not PGI's fault the industry watered the term "Beta" down so much, but they must operate within those expectations.

Which is very unfortunate for anyone who has started very recently but has not yet amassed a large amount of c-bills- such as anyone who has playes 30-40 matches. It would actually be better to drop your account and start over again if you've played 26 or more matches but have nto yet bought your first mech(and if the person has bought MC, they'll be stuck between a rock and a hard place)

A flat-rate payout to existing accounts with more than 25 matches would be ideal, retroactively giving them what they would have earned.

Everyone who has gone through the prior process will feel a bit miserable about missing out on such a nice thing, but most are probably way over the point that they'd need this cadet bonus retroactively. To get your first mech, you log about 60 matches, then lets say some 40 more for decent upgrades and from then on earning c-bills is easy mode anyway.

So PGI has only one choice - either make it a flat "ticket" system where your account gets once in a lifetime 25 cadet match tickets with increased bonus and every account gets this or really just for newly created accounts created after this patch. "Recently" imo is a very loose and subjective term and everyone will have a different opinion when that was.

nothing in the patch notes for any of the patches since open beta about this bug, so I'm not sure where you are getting that impression from.
they've definitely claimed to have fixed this problem more than once before.

No. They made a post about fixing it and sending it off to testing on November 28th, but they have always maintained it was going live on December 18th.

It is officially listed as version 0.5

version 1.0 is listed for February

Ergo, the 'cadet bonus' is not the be-all end-all for the planned changes to the new user experience.

Quote

Economics/New User Phase 0.5
Target Date: December 18th - 95%
Status: Final Stable/Stage Playtesting
Notes: Tuning Changes - Detailed post on December 18th

Quote

New User Flow 1.0
Target Date: Early February
Status: In Design
Notes: Requires Matchmaking, Stats, Achievements, UI Breadcumbs

I am not saying "dur it's just a beta'. I am saying, this is the first step towards the new user experience, not the final step.

Ok, I went through old emails of the closed beta patch notes, and the only mention is from Closed Beta Update #12 on September 25.

Once before is hardly 4 times.

I never claimed "4 times". Besides that, I'm not convinced that the reference you found is the only example, but thanks much for finding that one.

Suffice it to say this isn't the first time PGI has claimed to fix this issue.

Yeah 4 times was a guesstimate since I didn't know how many off the top of my head, but I do know it has been listed more than once. They probably removed it from previous patch notes to avoid "confusion".

Will the cadet bonus be retroactive for players that already played 25 games? Because it seems unfair if im missing out on like 1,000,000 extra c-bills.

Why should you be rewarded for your continuous play and sticking around?

There is nothing to indicate that it will be applied retroactively, but I certainly hope so! (as has already been discussed earlier in the thread)

Notice the "0" before the "5". In this case, 0.5 would be 0.50. This means we're about 5% into it. A measly 5%.
Take that as you will, it just looks like they got a big plan for this from my perspective.

Oh so Assaults might actually have to sit and defend instead of zerg rushing? Maybe defend rewards per minute? That doesn't sound like team play at all...

"Sit and Defend" as a game mode. That would be very popular for the Assault Pilots for sure. Let me guess. Your a Light/ Medium driver right?

I have provided evidence that they have claimed to fix the issue once before, and only once. You are welcome to find evidence to the contrary, and if you do I will concede.

And it's not unusual for bugs to pop up even when you thought you fixed them...

The idea that they might be trying to cover up that they have claimed to fix this issue multiple times before is simply ludicrous. Don't forget your tinfoil hat.

Put the Kool-Aid™ down, jeez. It was just a question.

Aww, I was hoping for the PPC buff. Also, what's with taking participation rewards out of the game? Sure it'll kill botting, but games should be pretty all or nothing now.
