founders is not that great. other than the jenner, the three other mechs are okay but not optimal variants. also they look way ugly. they'd be better off with the 20% extra MC during the sale right now, then turn that into a muromets which is an actual optimal paid mech and earns max cbills.

Only in 8-mans.
8 Man Formula:
5 Atlas DD-C with ECM
3 Ravens with ECM
Win.
At least, that is what it mostly is at the moment. ECM is way overpowered.
PUGs are a different story. PUGs have become far more fun as a result of this split. They're like the wild west again!

ECM is not that important. Plenty of great mechs do not have ECM, while ECM is powerful it is not an invulnerability shield.

Edit: If it fits a 300 Standard, ac20 with 4t of ammo, 2x mlas and a srm6 i might consider it.

They are really fun to pilot, but before these two guys show up their only real advantage was speed, which coincidentally only does just so much to protect them because they can't outrun weapons fire, I mean it's not like they have lag shield.
.
It would be neat to see Dragons beefed up a little, because the only time in the last month that I recall being killed by a Dragon was being shot in the back (after already taking damage) in my Cataphract (run for fun build), and I can't even confirm that, because I was being target by 3 Mechs..
.
Sadly though for the Dragon, my Atlas just runs them off, "IF" they can bob and weave enough to get away after making the blunder to engage without a couple friends, or even with..
.
This video has it spot on though, it "WILL" take two Dragons running together, and focusing fire to get those kind of results, I mean come on, hugging an Awesome with PPC weapons is no heroic feat of destruction, we all know why.
I can't wait to see what those Dragons can do though, this is a really good idea if it makes Dragons hit harder, and i'm for it.
On a side note, everytime I spectated or piloted a Dragon, I just couldn't get over the fact that the protruding center torso looks like the hood/front end of a 1984 Chevy Caprice Classic, or 1973 Buick Le Sabre... LOLZ

Looks like it is mounted high up on the left torso, you can actually see it from inside the cockpit. I like it, even if it makes hitting that torso a bit easier.
Also agree on the ECM thing. Not much more to say on that issue

yeah. dragons really benefit from XL engines with their torso shape. being able to have a 300+ XL and ac/20(s) on the arm(s) would have made for a really unique combination and I'd be really excited to try them out. as it is other than the cool paint job it's not really doing anything that cant already be done.

That was full of win. I might consider Dragons now... I can't say that I'm much of an Assault guy so the Stalker hasn't interested me much anyway.

I am already frothing at the prospect of an AC20 Dragon with the AC speed buffs too.
