2: the mw5 trailer was a pve game, mwo is going to be a pvp game with no pve at launch.
3: once your mech goes down in mwo, its done, you need to fix it and find a new match, there is no respawning
3a: there is a game mode where if you have 3 mechs you can bring all 3, but i dont think youll eject from 1 to get into the other, its more likely youll fight till each is disabled and move to the next.

Since the pilot cannot die, the only reason to eject would be to reduce damage to your mech. But this assumes that either your mech ceases to be a valid target, or that people are smart enough to stop shooting you. Neither is likely in my opinion. Also the 2nd option wouldn't stop griefers.

Really? The game is all about PvP but yet you have to drag that in? I am tempted to save that post just to use it elsewhere to prove the point.

i mean a game mode were you if you eject you will be able to respawn into another mech unlimited times until you goofed up and got yourself killed. maybe adding a mechanic were you can reach the eject button if you are getting pounded and getting jostled around the cockpit. this would make it so that teamates would focus there fire on one mech so that they would be unable to eject therefore slowly eliminating the enemy team. personally i think it would be fun

that would be cool maybe make you controls not as reactive if you did not fix the injury

EDIT: This way it gives a motivation to use the mechanic, while not punishing the player unduly.

When your mech gets destroyed you should hear the comp saying.. "Eject, Eject, Eject"
then it shows your mech being blown off and the pilot ejecting out of it...can be a coool moment to look at

Also, ejecting into a frozen wasteland or barren desert looks a bit suicidal. Would rather stay with my downed Mech as it would be a bit easier for the SAR team to find it then to find little ol' me.
I've worked around modern day ejection systems. Tearing the top off of an armored vehicle is an not easy proposition or we would have done it by now.

Full head ejection system.
And noone would stay for a bunch of resons. First, the mech is going to be salvaged. Second, being a prisoner in the hands of House security police is way worse than death (and every house has one). And noone would stay in a mchine that has 5 last seconds of life because a few missile salvo's are coming your way, waiting to shatter the cockpit to pieces.

Or you could parachute down onto an enemy mech and hijack it.

It helps with visual continuity to see it happen rather than a mech just vanish from view because the player disconnected (beyond the relog timer) or left the game.

Actually I think you either eject or you don't, or perhaps ejection will be automatic upon destruction of your mech. Right now I just want good 'mech on 'mech combat with clearly defined roles little details can be introduced later.

Umm....no gain? How about ejecting before the mech blows? Or so your opponents will stop shooting at you?
If the terrain is that hostile, sure, but what if it isn't?
Umm this isn't the real world. This is BT....so once you accept 'Mechs as viable war machines, fussing about canopies is kinda silly don't ya think?
