This is not about what’s good or bad just what I bet the changes to the game will be. Your welcome to ad your own.
  • Complaints on the forum from new players going past their 25th game “where my c-bills?
  • More expensive builds endo, ff, xl engines DH
  • Aggressive or reckless game play IE player not caring if they blow their mech just running into the fight no thought of team play or tactics
  • Last but not least the forum exploding with post “ you broke the game… stomp stomp”

The first one I can see.

Everyone pretty much uses Endo already. FF is useless even for light mechs. Amount of XL's will not change, as their repair costs were never a factor in being used or not. No change in amount of people using DH, as if your mech gains from using them, you already have them.

Aggressive/reckless game play will lead to you getting less Cbills, So I don't see people doing that either. The people that live and deal lots of damage will be the ones raking in the cash. Everyone wants to rake in the cash.

The forums explode every patch with " you broke the game" so, nothing new there ;p

In my experience, people used xl, endo, ff, dh as called for by the mech build they want. The repair costs never really stopped any one. Just caused people to ****** about repair bills :) So you are unlikely to see any difference in mech builds.

Again, aggressiveness is more of a personality trait. Aggressive/ passive game play will be the same.

Your other two predictions are spot on, I'm sure.

To rephrase some of this:

Players using mechs they want, instead of mechs built for grinding cbills.

Same play as usual

I predict the fits of nerd rage on the forums will make for good reading over the morning coffee and to serve as a reminder how pathetic the human condition can be.

With R&D removed, I actually plan to add ferro to all the Mechs that have room. Before, it was removed to save on costs.

I'm starting to wonder if some people think the forums are the game.

With the changes, I might consider adding FF armor to my Jenner to squeeze another half ton or so out of the design. I might even get an XL engine for it too, since I won't have to worry about the repair costs.

Repair costs were one thing keeping me from mounting an XL. Durability? Well, a 'mech with a side torso gone is almost dead anyway, so I couldn't care less about that. Just ends the game quicker so I can move on to another match :)

I predict this will change the game for the better. People will be more likely to play what they want and use upgrades that are limited by critical slots and I'll still avoid XLs on many mechs due to the risk of shoulder kills. Good players won't mind making a sacrifice and doing a ton of damage to the enemy in the process as they can still place high and get a fat bonus without being gimped by repairs. If you run in and suicide ineffectively you won't get many action bonuses and you'll place lower in the charts, thus losing out on a nice bonus.

Just make sure you get an assist on each enemy mech before you go.

Actually I think it will make people stop with the whole charge in and get blasted to bits part. I mean you have to survive long enough to get some kills/assists in order to make money...if you run in solo and get killed right off the bat then you'd only make like 25K right? win lose or draw...and the real income comes from what you do in the match...so yes I see alot of the Rambo types screaming at 25K a match. Also I don't quite understand the whole Ranking bonus?

Of course! I always try my best to contribute to a game. Although, I currently play trial 'mechs hyperaggressively since I get the same returns from them regardless. But now with the new economic changes, I'll be an even more responsible player with trial 'mechs. I always try my best with my owned machines. I really think these changes will make the game a whole lot better!

I read the ranking bonus as you get bonus points for how well you play on your team. Good player on a crappy team that loses? If you place first on your team you get 100,000 bonus. You play on a kick *** team, win, but get last place on your team you get 25,000 bonus.

And the 25 per damage ammount do they mean if I do 100 damage in a match do they multiply it by 25? 100x25= 2500 cbills?

That's how it appears, yes.
