Heat is unchanged, so if you think they "overheat like crazy" before, then you will think the same now. It only got a speed buff to help you hit moving targets better, that's all. I would hardly call it a huge change. There is no ecm effect with the ppc's.

I believe something was mentioned about the overheat and the emp effect (bookmark here here). Here is a copy paste if you
This is a list of what is being tuned in the immediate future. There are no set dates for this. This is just a FYI as to what is coming down the pipe.
In Current Development:
PPCs are being investigated.
- Heat balance?
Special effect when you are hit by a PPC that is similar to EMP.
- MG's will be getting a damage boost.
- Flamers will be getting the heat generation on enemy scaled in a way that makes more sense. You're not going to overheat a Mech but you should be raising their temps to the point that if they fire anything they will shut down/overheat.

Today, I've been playing - amongst other builds, 4x PPC Stalker. It's certainly easier to hit, less luck involved. There's much less time for your opponents to "Goofy turn and dodge".
I only shoot alphas, since it's the burst pinpoint damage what I am after. Chain firing isn't a good idea in my opinion.

Excellent! So glad to hear this. One of my favorite builds was my CTF-1X with an AC/10 and PPC. I got pretty good at sniping from middle distance with both weapons. I look forward to the faster speed on both, but the PPC especially.

Heh, I remember meeting you in game!
How many DHS can you cram into a AWE-9M with a 380? With 1.3 eff, is firing sustainable, or are you still having to take pauses?
