they had repair and rearm as an integral part of the game right up until early open beta. i am not asking for something new. i am asking for them to bring back a system that was there since the very beginning and was only recently removed.

PGI removed R&R because it was supposedly broken (LRM builds losing money and so on) then they removed it to maybe also open up to a broader audience. (And breaking the balance energy weapons/ammunitions weapons) The "economy" did not work that is why they took it out - so reimplementing it would need a massive redesign. Hence my statement that they should not take on such a project when the game part is still in shambles.

Personally I had more fun with the sim part of the game and mech building when I had to consider R&R. It does need a re-design so that everything can come out at least a little ahead for the sake of keeping gameplay progressing.

No thanks to the return to R&R. It was pointless and annoying.

^^ this. It's pretty much what I'm advocating as it turns out. Not played STO but after a few others pointed me at it, yes this is a good model IMO.

I had only commented before when I was grouping founders + premium = cbills.

I've been playing without founders and premium to "test the waters" for what persons without premium and founder/hero mechs go through to buy and maintain (customize regularly) their battlemechs.

I don't have a-lot of time to devote to playing. That being said, I would enjoy some sort of benefit that stacks while offline (that has a cap) that would increase my cbill earnings briefly....to help with the time lost "offline." I'm not asking for a hand out. It's just a concept similar to (I HATE TO SAY IT) world of warcrafts "offline exp bonus."
