I will buy camo and colors as soon as they behave like the PCGamer skin.

Currently ,there is only one paint scheme that really interests me for most mechs. But despite a reasonable chance that I won't change it for quite some time, I haven't paid for any camo yet. I only use the PC Gamer skin. Heck, I am not even willing to use the C-Bill paint currently.

But I know - if I could unlock colors and and camos for multiple mechs, I'd buy a lot more than I am likely to need.

But in the end, it doesn't really matter all that much... It's not like I see my mech anywhere. Let the other spend their good money on cool paint jobs. Heck, in thermal vision, I won't even see that...

This. I would buy all of the camo and probably a palette of ten or so colors. I'd pay $5-10 for that, if I could keep using and reusing them. I would also buy new patterns as they came out. I am not paying anything right now.

I would say paint and camo should be account wide and not per mech.

Don't encourage that kind of business.

Still have not paid for any paint in MC because it isnt permanent, ditto for the skins.

I see very few MC painted mechs. I see them, but I don't see this as much as I should.

Yep, this right here. Until then, I am using my PC gamer colors and the ones you buy with c bills.

I would love to be able to buy paint and patterns if they stayed available for any mech in my stable. The prices also obviously need to come down. I think PGI knows this and is just price-testing right now, although it just seems like price gouging. :/

When they lower the price a bit, and let us paint our friggin' founders mechs in any pattern we want, I'll buy a lot more. As it is now, I can't repaint my founders Atlas. I see all these other sweet looking fatlas paintjobs and I'm stuck with my boring one, even though I paid good money for it. These seem like common sense changes that need to be implmented. Maybe when we get Camo Spec Phase 2?

I came up with a solution to your mech bay cost issue... create a new account per chassis... 4 free mech bays, drastically cutting the number you need to buy with MC to still be able to collect every variant... bonus being you get the cadet bonus on every account also drastically cutting the grind time for chills to buy those chassis... drawback being grinding for modules over and over... but... free mechbays!

Still supporting this! As I was hoping for an update with camo. As it stands I think I have one Cent that needs a paint job and he may get it. I love repainting mechs but If I can't keep it I won't do it anymore. Still support having to pay for paint/camo per mech. I will do it if I can keep it PGI and you will make more money from me.

How about do it like Valve?

At the end of a match, from time to time, a random paint or other cosmetic might drop and players are free to use it, or barter and trade it with other players. And other cosmetic random drops as well.

like tf2? that scheme makes very little money because all the items that cost mc can just be grinded out. it works for tf2 i think because of low maintenance. no servers, very lil patches etc.

It is not needed. In other games if you want to color your hair you have to pay money any time you want to recolor it. this game is different as you may no longer want that mech once sold it is gone, but on a scale from 1 to 10 in importance 10 being the most would be 2... maybe.

lol what games are you playing? no games i've played require you to pay to customize your character. character customization is step one in creating the character. if you have to pay to unlock a color, you simply unlock it once and then it's available to you to use anytime going forward.
