The Quickdraw is not the crappiest heavy in this timeline.. but it is the crappiest one which is not Unseen.
Also, because PGI is very probably not going to introduce backward weapons or OS launcher, the Quickdraw actually has only 2 variants timeline-wise! What the hell, PGI?
They will just put the back weapons on the front like they did with the Yen Lo Wang.

Without backwards facing weapons three of the Quickdraws four possible variants have the exact same stock weapon load out. The QKD-4G, QKD-4H, QKD-5K are identical aside from weapon facing and the presence of ferro/double heatsinks.

Will save the money and level some other mechs.
[BTW, if the QKD offers no special advantage like ECM, I will not need one. Too similar to the Dragon. and I'm "cursed" with them.]

Look at it this way, find me online in my Quckdraw and you can QQ me about Orion's while killing my weak armoured heavy.

no orion but at least were getting a new mech :\
Would be cool to see this mech tho
(Yea its mechassualt and its called a puma ingame but what is it called in real battletech? If it even exists )
Mechassault was a whole batch of fail with the exception of being able to actually get out of your mech and run around. But past that it was bad, and got so many things wrong it wasnt even funny.
Its supposed to be the Cougar which was based off the Adder which was called Puma in the Inner Sphere, whats worse is one of the 'variants' in mechassault for the "Puma" was called Cougar. >。<

But has PGI ever really said that the Orion was going to be coming in June?
Nope, they just said Medium -> Heavy -> Unannounced Assault (Presumably the now announced Victor, but they haven't said that either) -> Light...
Other than that its anyone's guess.

It's a jumpjetting energy-heavy mech.
What.
Seriously, I think PGI is trolling.
I mean I myself am a pretty big troll, so I can recognize when one's trolling.

beginning to think it means they are trying to tip the drop weight for one side away from 700+ tons, which would surely happen a bit given the popularity seen here for the orion......... behind ppc's/jj's , the amount of heavy metal and mismatches in mm was top of the qq list

Very True. For years MW fans were scared that their game was going to be relegated to console arcade hell and the Mech Assault games seemed to confirm those fears. The MA's threw out 20 years of rules, lore, and canon in favor of a younger person's arcade shooter with power ups devoid of the customization, resource management, and the complex skill challenges of the previous PC games.
Despite this, they were fun games and very popular. I know several guys who stand by them and even consider them the best iteration of all the MW games. Only in the graphics is that true (until MWLL and then MWO) since the previous games where simply older game technology.
I wont bust on MA too much. They were well received, financially successful, and also introduced many more players to the genre who are with us here today

If you want to make some MC's to help MWO advance, the time for the Orion is now, not in a few months.
I am looking at the Quickdraw and it looks like a Dragon with better weapon placement, but not much else. LRM 10 slot, some energy. Cataphract will do all this better and I have 4 mastered. I don't see how the Quickdraw will inspire any changes. What changes are desired anyway? Just curious.

I was listening to "Long Live The King" by Sabaton when I saw your post. I thought of the Orion being ignominiously replaced by the Quickdraw. So basically:

Omg, you're saying it'll be another 4 months before we even get a chance of seeing the Orion?
Ok, that's it, I need another break. I think I'll stay away from the forums this time around. That was like the one thing I had to look forward to about this game. With the release coming up we'll probably never see it.
Well, I guess I'll check in next year.
