The primary Orion is indeed a downgraded Atlas. But there are lot of variants, some with missiles+lasers in the arms. Also, the better speed should make it a good brawling opponent for the Atlas.
PS: I hope the cockpit hitbox is not too large beacuse this mech i's supposed to be good at taking damage.
I definitely agree about the cockpit hitbox.
Everyone remembers Kerensky and Kurita (who apparently found and used Kerensky's original Orion?), but wasn't this the preferred mech of Katrina Steiner as well?

SN-PPCs are actually LosTech; they're explicitly mentioned in the old Star League sourcebook (on page 61) as having been developed under the reign of Jonathan Cameron.

As far as a 3050 "Kerensky Tribute" Hero 'Mech:
Hypothetically, PGI could bend the canon a bit by dropping a ton of Gauss ammo (from two tons to one) to free up the tonnage, moving one of the FF criticals out of the Left-Torso to free up the space, and replacing the listed SN-PPC with a standard PPC.
It wouldn't be an exact duplicate Kerensky's version of the 'Mech, but it would retain the core concepts and the vast majority of the key attributes while still being substantially different from the stock ON1-K (unlike the Kurita rebuild; they found Kerensky's original 'Mech essentially stripped to just the skeleton, and rebuilt it as a stock ON1-K).
Your thoughts?

Maybe they will hush it in the production line as they are doing with the Highlander.

I do however hope that one of the variants has a Big-A##ed Left arm. Like in Punakettu's picture 'Crash Landing'.
Also, 'Death by Oriony' --- Niiiiice.

Though I dont ever remember the SN-PPC being a part of Star League Era tech or timeline anywhere, the text must have been from a revised or newer sourcebook I'm not familiar with. I stand corrected. +1 to you good sir.

Well, it's a Freeworlder so it mostly comes in two options: purple and purple variants (pink included). One reason I quit the FWL Military...
