So I did a reinstall after the patch and it has really improved my FPS. I played on Low but now I can play on High... Although this is happening and I have no idea whats going on. Something with the lighting is going nuts.
At first I saw these little glowing lights floating around and I though "that's cool, I guess I couldn't see these particles with the low settings.
And then this happened not 30sec later. Everything that emits light is going all crazy and if too much light happens then the environment fades to black.
So I figured it was my shading and shadows and effects. Turned those down and I got this... It is playable but the rainbow clouds are a little weird.
Also it does it in the Mechbay too, lol.
Does anyone know what settings I need to adjust to fix this or should I just spend the next hour testing things out.

Weird,
I'd suggest putting this in one of the support forums instead of general chat.

Reminds me of when I removed my Texture.pak from its folder, except my stalkers doors would glow like light bulbs. Maybe yours is corrupted?

I second the support forums posting. Email it for a support ticket. http://mwomercs.com/support
I get the black screen when I get weapons fire often. Or I did before the patch. usually on darker maps like forest colony.

Looks like artifacts... perhaps something wrong with the GPU, drivers or something like that?

Do you also have similar artifcats in other games (DX9 / Cryengine)? Are you overclocking your GPU / Graphics memory? This is a support issue imo.

Going to go ahead and move this over to Player Support...

I turned the Effects and Particles down and that seemed to have solved it.
EDIT: Just kidding. It is the smoke and dust particles that glow blue red and green

Bumping with another odd visual glitch.
No big deal still won the game.
It's not doing it nearly as much as before; I turned the settings down a bit and things smoothed out, for the most part.
