No. You can choose to sign up for one of the packages on the 19th of June.. which will get you into Beta, but it's not required to purchase one of the two to get into Beta.

I think the second round of beta starts June 17th. Thats when major stress testing should start.
Been waiting for things to get started back up since when FASA originally was beta'ing BT online ages ago.

Be cautious, though, because you can sign-up from anywhere but you might have a hard time playing from anywhere.

200+ Ping? So what. I fired with worse pings as well as was hitting targets with jumpy ping up to 1000. MW4:M MSN zone veteran.
I know that ping of 0 is "just perfect", but life is not fair.
I really hope to find funds to play early.

And, on a side note, most russian players are "Russian Laggers", so lag is... I don't know how to say it, but we are used to it. At least those who want to win.
