Hi All,

So, beta starts now and release is in July. Are you excited?! For those of you who haven't declared yourselves as joining Liao, please do so now!

This begs the question... how do we coordinate as a house both in Beta and in Release? Some folks have talked about a Teamspeak server, and I know we have an (older) tried and true website at http://www.houseliao.com, but is that enough?

We'll really need to coordinate our efforts so we (largely) only attack houses we are actually at war with. ;)

Thoughts?

Stalker, i'd be happy to help set up a teamspeak. Honestly, the fewer points of communication the better, as then people will actually look at them. A stickypost at the top of this forum telling people where/what to attack would be enough, probably.

First... Beta starts now! And hopefully we all will be in it!
Second... I don't believe we get to chose what targets to attack. From everything I have seen and read so far it looks more like that will be decided by the game/devs.
Third... this is a beta. Let us break the game before we break our enemies. ;)

Well, there is something to be said about advertising your attack plans in public... you're sure to have people to fight against when you get there. ;)

It can't hurt! We will crush them anyway. If we fight them fair and square on the battlefield we can enjoy their dispair and their territory.

We should start a poll as to which house's tears taste sweetest. I'm of the opinion that Davion tears are going to be in the highest demand, but FRR tears will always be attractive to connoisseurs. ;)

I always thought that Steiner tears make great icecubes for my drinks. Kuritans are a bit to spicy. Mariks go well with long drinks. And davions are a bit bland.

Genetically pure Clan tears go well with Space Scotch.

Totally agreed in regards to the Teamspeak chat, within that will be able to create specific Unit chatrooms?

That's the idea. One TS3 for all liao, so there's one place we can congregate as a house, even though we are multiple units.

No matter the security measures you take, there's always the possibility of a spy eavesdropping on tactics/strategy.

Murdock's correct. Just set the password within group chat in game, along with advising the room to be used.

If everyone is using it though, there are costs involved if you go over a set number of users. Thoughts - ie limit users to only active ones, or pay for use? I'm personally happy to chip in towards any cost incurred, but I can't speak for anyone else.

I'll defo chip in if it's needed. There aren't that many Liao players so it may not have to come to that.

I could check and see if I can work in a House Liao page within our Preston's Lancers Online Barracks website :) and I believe there is a donation pay pal section on the site which could be used to fund the TS servers... just an idea.
