As I said beefore it might not be a worst decison on devs side to drop R&R, but I still think it could be done much better way. We all agreed beefore that Income should be related to player performance, there was no question about it. There was so many ways to do it. Paid achivements, paid damadge ( well hell they put it even in finally ) give us some contracts that could be achived or not, give winning team ammo salavge... damn even ammo reward for good performance ( Hell SON YOU did some nice wrecking there... here you got 2 Tons of those A. LRM's beautis for ya on the house ) and that would want you to win a bloody game... now does it really matters to win or not? You just need to get there and do as much damage as possible nothing more... Hell another farming factor there... get fastest piece of junk mech with some lasers, and hit all 8 mechs just to get 7.500 bonus for assist, worst case scenario you will get 25000 win or lose and if win add 8 X 7.500 for every destroyed enemy when you actually do nothing ( still I wonder why I did over 50K after dropping even beefore match started ??? ) Many said beefore that free ammo was a bad idea, and nearly all agreed it needed to be just cheaper... I think that was pretty easy to do... What I'm just trying to say that folks gave plenty ideas to fix income issues, like we are still beta testing aren't we? But I feel we were just shown a middle finger with last patch. Thats all...

One thing I would like to see is a team performance reward. Basially, all the damage and kills the entire team did earns each team member a small reward. That means it's doubly important to fight and fight well, because if you fight together with your team, your team will last longer - you have an interest in someone getting a kill, even if it'S not you, even if you never fired at the target of your ally to get at least an Assist, but the guy may only have been able to get that kill because you took some enemy hits for him.

Also, I believe the repair & rearm cost can only be balanced if there is a way for a mech that has high repair & rearm cost to also get more money from it - it's unrealistic that a team fielding 8 Atlai would only be able to ask the same rewards as an 8 man Jenner Team., for example. Obviously, they wouldn't get the same jobs either. That's probably something for Community Warfare, however. But maybe it could even be done in current matches -simply have the base payout for a match be based on the overall weight of each team, and be balanced against expected repair and rearm cost for such mechs.

While I don't like that RNR is gone, I was hoping people would be more willing to slug it out. Yet I still still alot of people avoiding combat to rush cap even though capping might as well be pointless for what it gets you. I still see quite a few Alt+f4ing right before dying.

I do hope RNR comes back soon.

With R&R gone it is no longer Mechwarrior.

There, I said it.

Now when fighting, what's the point? We all gain c-bills regardless of how we perform.

I can't see them deciding to not implementing Repair and Rearm again in the future. Just next time with more intelligent numbers.

With R&R you had a reason to avoid fire.
Now you just want to hit as many enemies as possible so if they die you gain money and XP.

MechWarrior 3 and 4 never had RnR in Multiplayer.

Funny, I was all set to come back and give MWO another try when I read this thread.

I'll go back to playing Firefall instead.

If it's being saved for Clan Warfare map domination awesome mode...we should hear about it and soon.
