out of utter rage,
so i'm not the only one out there that wants to throw his computer out the window at times, like the other day for instance, when i'm on the losing team 13 times in a row!
which brings up another question: anyone know a good way to clean saliva splatter off a laptop screen?

PUG (Pick-Up Game aka PUB) -- a small dog that gets stomped on a lot... but not TODAY!

Pick-up game
Public unorganized group
Several ways to flip it.
With the ELO matchmaking system, pugs will be happy. Until I ELO drop to stomp them again!

4-man teams please L2P 8-man and stop picking on PUGs like you are Mech Romney incarnate.
PUGs today will be your 4-man / 8-man lance mates tomorrow (or when they realize that they could learn better with a group).
I try to spend most of my time 8-man downtime as a PUG.
I <3 PUGs.
No.
I will never endorse my mates play down to their competition. It's not in me. I refuse to 'dumb down' my game because of idiots like the guy I watched standing at the edge of the map in a commando shooting 1 ******* LRM 5 every 90 sec". If you feel getting stomped by 4 man groups or 2 or 3 sucks too much or takes the fun out of the game, then get in one yourself.

The problem lately is finding 8 player to play with, and once you have those, finding another 8 to play against. So to fill up the time we play 4-mans. Oddly enough I do tend to get stomped in a 4 man more often then I should. Mostly because people aren't playing it too seriously. Or the other team just sticks together better. Or because we didn't focus fire. Or because the four pugs are all new. Or any other number of excuses.

Nice. Well done. If you ever feel like picking up some random people and make a group, get onto TS. You don't have to join a clan. It takes a bit longer to get started but the delay is usually minimal. You'll also like the advantage voice communication gives you.

i diddnt think the community on this game went for elitism :-/
You forget the one rule of muliplayer ..if there are groups in any type in a game ,they will find away to join up and become one big group of douche. So you will always get a group of eliters out there who have to have some kind of "feel good in their woman parts" that they are better than you because of some K:D ratio.so hey run around yelling about how great they are in some video game, and if you get stuck on their team your a blight messing with their perfection if you dont do what they say. So "pugs" to them are just people who aren't like them .No coordination since there not a part of a group yet, or just a filler on their side. Most people I play with only drop in a time where it's 2 to 3 of us ,not even a 4- man,and were with pugs all the time.It comes down to communication not pugs or premades. You can roll a premade team just as easy with pugs if you can all make a plan. more challenging, but not impossible at all.

Your average pugger varies greatly in disposition and temperament. They could be a complete and bewildered newbie, a highly skilled ********* who wants to sharpen their skills in a swirling maelstrom of death and defeat, or simply someone that shuns the company of (shudder) people. Or they could be bored.
Pugstomping is the act of forming a team of 4 or less like-minded stompers for the express purpose of either challenging their skills by engaging other 4 mans, or for stomping the unorganized everyone-elses mentioned above into the dirt.
Synch-dropping is the act of forming two four man groups with nefarious intentions, with both groups crossing their 5 or fewer genetically mutated fingers and clicking launch at the same time. They have a 50% chance of dropping on opposite sides, and a 50% chance of forming the mecha-abomination known as 'PUGSTOMPATRON'. These guys are usually friends, and may indeed be decent people in real life, but puggers on the receiving end can see them for what they truly are in the context of the game; cheap, lying, no-good, rotten, four-flushing, low-life, snake-licking, dirt-eating, inbred, overstuffed, ignorant, blood-sucking, dog-kissing, brainless, dickless, hopeless, heartless, fat-***, bug-eyed, stiff-legged, spotty-lipped, worm-headed sacks of monkey ****! Hallelujah! Holy ****!
They may even advertise themselves in the hopes you'l join their legions, by announcing something along the lines of "this stomping was brought to you by the inbred tools at www.come-join-us-at-we-are-all-giant-tools-land.com"
Don't be fooled! Stay strong fellow puggers!

I'm sorry, I had to laugh. But I also agree. Pre-mades are a pain when you PUG, but what better way to become better than get your *** handed to you on a silver platter a few times? Or since this is MW/BT, on a Ferro-Fibrous platter?
EDIT: Also, Yes I am in a Legion, but I also play PUGs too.

I'm with you 100%! I had a hand to hand instructor in the Army that told me the secret to taking a beating... was to take lots of beatings. Then he beat me a lot. His instruction meant I sucked at fighting only moderately less, but if you need someone to get the crap beaten out of them and still stand (albeit a mewling, crying wreck) then i'm your man.
The secret to getting better through defeat though is to actually live long enough to implement ANY kind of skill. Which is hard when the PUGSTOMPATRON commander goes "hey, there's a stalker in E5. Everyone kill him in an overwhelmingly brutal and humiliating fashion on my mark. Mark."
0.43 seconds later: *splatt*
2.5 seconds later:
Kiiyor: "WTF?"
Kiiyor: "****** ME. WTB 11 Clan UAC20's"

I am fairly sure most already do. When they have enough guys to run 8. We don't run 2 or 3, 4 mans when we could be running an 8.

We don't always have 8 laying around. We've grown a pair. We're just "at the mercy" of the current match-making system.
Wake the **** up, stop being a ****ing *****. Thanks.
Please elaborate on the difference. But first, let me drink half this bottle of 151 so I can be on your level and argue with you.

as of this very moment there are at least 20 4man teams in Comstar NA alone
PUGs are advised to stay in-mech bays and away from the LAUNCH button for fear of stomping..
