Just my two cents, all done in character, so please, take this with a healthy dose of salt...

"Who will lead us?" the man asks.

Wow, that is easy. Simply put, those who PROVE they can lead us.
Usually that means those who win and can bring people together under their banner.
Can communicate well, organize well, get along with a diverse group of strong
willed Mech Warriors well.

And WIN. Because if we don not win, we will not be a house for very long.
Just how is House Liao doing on that winning front I ask?

You just go shoot things, and leave reality to those who know how best to relate to the masses.

Yet another reason I'm going Lone Wolf. A total stranger on the internet derides another as too simple minded because they were put in charge of an aspect of a video game that no longer exists. I really hope they don't have non-devs as faction leaders because of this attitude and the original post.

Save the elitism for the battlefield not the forum of which you're supossed to be moderating.

Don't worry then, because they won't. They've stated repeatedly that players will not be given control over other players within the factions.
