Please also state the hero mech/s that you own.

I own 3 hero mechs; Ilya Muromets, Fang and Flame.

I like the Ilya Muromets for ballistics boating, Flame for energy boating and Fang for generally high speed skirmishes.

Muromets. I've been playing him with 2 ppc's a ac20 and MPL. Great for fire support.

ooooo.... i know how effective AC20 + PPC can be... I run that on my Flame sometimes... can only imagine what AC20 + 2 PPC can do!

I suppose I also have my 4 founders mechs too for those bonuses, so yeah.

You should really try Flame when you can... I mean, you can either have an AC20 on it like the YLW or boat 4 big laser weapons which makes it a very unique fast mech.

I've got my founder's mechs. I don't see the need to drop any more money until they release a hero version of a variant I like better (Perhaps when the Clans arrive).

I bought the Wang-Lo, simply because I had to at the time in order to get my variants required for the pilot tree. I do not like the prices on the mechs and won't be buying anymore in the foreseeable future. I think that the MC prices on things are way too expensive and the vanity item / mc price for adjusting things is way off base, I can't grasp why anyone would fiddle with painting their mechs and paying such horrid prices for something they can't alter without spending more MC, it's absurd. Yes, I thought it though, I've heard the "comparisons" . . . but the bottom line is, if I were to paint a big giant stompy mech my mechanics / shop boys wouldn't just buy enough paint to get it done just once I'd have them purchase enough to cover it multiple times and keep in mind that it's probably going to need a touch up / repaint on a regular basis . Further I don't feel like the current game provides value for the investment I've already made hence the wait in hopes that PGI/IGP will realize that their pricing scheme is horri-bad and make adjustments.

So, yeah. . . bad bad prices, no value for what I've already invested coupled with a currently bleh game. . . i'll wait - still haven't clicked my founders premium either, hoping they note those of us who haven't and made comment that we wouldn't until the game was at least really in beta.

I feel you... I can totally understand the frustration of pumping in so much money for the Founder's program only to see that you have to pay more for hero mechs. I think founders should get all hero mechs for free.

Why should the founders get all the hero mechs for free? Already rewarded with extra c-bill generating variants, a boat load of currency and premium time to boot.

I find them to be generally too pricey (hence why I didn't buy both dragons) but I don't think we ought be getting them all for free.

I own a Yen-Lo-Wang, Ilya Muromets, and Flame. Will probably by Fang when I can afford it. All 3 are good mechs in my opinion. The Wang took me the longest to learn to use effectively but that may be more due to being more inexperienced with the game in general. Just bought Flame last night and have a pretty effective build. I like it a lot so far.

Well, because you guys made a big one time committment during the time when the company needed money most. Thats why you guys are called "Founders". You are part of their business going by that term and definitely deserves to get the best for free. I had a look at the founders program and deemed it too risky and gave it a miss. You guys took the leap of faith and should be rewarded for it.

Hero mechs don't get an Xp bonus Founder's do.

I have all of the heros and all of the founders.....don't regret any of them.

I have both Fang and Flame and found that Flame can do everything Fang can... and MORE. So if you already have Flame, I really dun see the point getting Fang. I bought Fang first and then Flame second.
