I've got a question if anyone has experience with the Thrustmaster T.16000M
Posted Image
I've been eyeing it for quite a while and despite the horrible throttle placement (at least to me) it really looks like a durable and well made joystick. Any advice?

This belongs in Hardware and needs to be merged with the already huge joystick thread.

You said huge joystick!

We really need to be told if the artemis is really going to exist or not, and when. And as a competitor to the artemis, if this is cross compatible http://penny-arcade....ith-batshit-ins (Scroll down to the controller)

I am buying one too, that's all I can say. I had many recommendations for it from some of my fligh-sim mates, it should be best in its price range. I dont like that throttle either, but I am used to it in there from Saitek Cyborg Evo, only this one is much smaller. But it should be very precise stick, with 3 axis in the stick itself+throttle+hat, and that is what I want.

i have one since ca 8 month. it is a very well made joystick for the price! they didnt spare with "new" technology

http://www.thrustmas...roducts/t16000m

the one drawback of this joystick, particular for (mech/flight) sims, is the throttle! the throttle goes to easy and is in a unpractical position.
so i "disabled" it with tape and shot a seperated saitek x52 throttle on ebay for 8€ :P .

So it should work along with another throttle thing. Thanks for the info, definately getting this baby when I can then :)

I have a cyborg Evo but I might buy the F.L.Y 5 Flight Stick to use instead.

I have my Saitek X52. The issue I have is that you can use only 3-4 buttons on it for Mechwarrior 4. I hope that isn't an issue with MW:O.
The new Razer looks real nice too but I don't want to see the price tag *gulp* Maybe I will grab my fathers old CH Flight Stick that he used for Mechwarrior 1 & 2, Wing Commander ect.... lolz.

I was originally thinking of the Logitech G940; after all, the devs are using it! However, I prefer reliability over aesthetics for the most part and CH gear seems like it'll last longer and is more durable. So I think I'll be using a CH Combatstick along with CH Pro throttle and pedals.

Eh?

My Saitek X-52 using team mates and I had all of our buttons, etc. functioning in MW4. A proper SST profile can manage that, easily.

my current is a well-used Logitech Extreme 3D Pro... nothing fancy and definitely not new... but I like the feel it has (or at least I'm used to it)

If I'm going to drop some cash on hardware upgrades for MW:O, it'll be for a new video card first.

Ditto there man, Logitech has never failed me yet

I'm going to use the good old Xbox 360 wireless controller for Windows.
Who wants a huge crappy old joystick taking up all your space?
Toss that crappy old joystick back in the closet where you dug it out of. ;)

CH Mach 3 for Torso movement; Logitech 518 Mouse for turret aiming
and I will try to get at least some value out of my outdated TrackIR 3 + Vector Expansion Combo
Posted Image
If the Mach 3 decides to not work with MWO (COM Port joysticks tend to behave a little bit strange these days), I will switch to my X45 Throttle (without the stick - it's broken anyways) for Torso movement and acceleration - But I would hate it, because I don't really have the space on my table for that.

I will runwith thrustmaster. I used it so much it finally fell part about 1/4 of the way mech 4. I loved the x52 but I am glad I got the extended warrenty . I went through 4 in a very short time. While its a very nice looking controller, its problem it tends to fail alot.

The thrustmaster you can run it to death without a problem. Their stature will depend number of buttons needed for good opperation.

I'm going to use a Thrustmaster HOTAS Warthog with Saitek PZ35 peddles.

Does anybody know a good set of peddles with some kind of heel button? I've heard that something like this exists (and it would be AWESOME for JumpJets) but I haven't been able to find one.
