Joystick? HA! I use no such thing! I will be using my:

Thrustmaster Dual Analog 3

Posted Image

I've played MW4 and any other controller required games with it since 2000. :D

You can't see them from the pic but on the back side where the middle fingers go there is also a button on the right and left back side for a total 4 on top, 2 on the back, 4 on the front right, 1 in the middle front to activate precision lock, the standard D-Pad, and 2 analog sticks.

How you figure? It's no different than a joystick, and has / is supported by any and all modern games.

Thrustmaster is also a pretty big name for racing & flight simulator games.

I still use a Saitek ST 290 pro! It's pretty basic and has stayed alive!

because they said nothing about game pads being supported. They said Joysticks will be supported, but did not mention game pads. Thats how I figure.

Assuming they support it I'll likely use my corded XBox 360 Controller which I used to play Champions Online. Though if that doesn't work Keyboard and Mouse which is what I've played all the other Mechwarrior games with.

Are you being serious? lol

Game pads are the same thing as a joysticks, just different form factor. The computer will read / detect the drivers, and list it in the Input devices. In fact there are no drivers that comes with the gamepad as windows has included them with the OS.

When they say they are "Supporting" a particular device, that means they have tested and listed it among working devices with their product. Any other devices are a crap shoot if they will work or not, and given the history and use of this device with many "NON-declaring Supporting" products that it does and has worked with, I will bet you it works with MW:O, if not at initial attempts, I'm sure I'll be able to find a way to get it to work, and if all else fails, I will simply use keyboard and mouse :D

So just because they didn't "Say" they are supporting gamepads, does not mean gamepads will not work.

Man I almost tinkled a little lol

I get that.. But I loved being about to not worry about losing target while running in MW3 and MW4... WIth teh Left hand Toggle controlling twist and teh Joystick movement... Plus it as great for flying games to:)

when I played MW2, I recall using a fantastic PenPartner Wacom Tablet. It was the best aiming device ever. Instant headshot, every time!
Sadly, the new tablets have not the speed and precision the old ones had (also they do not work in most games).

I am buying Thrustmaster T16000M (http://joysticky.heu...16000m/galerie/), for both MW:O and IL2. Didnt get a hand on it yet, but it should be one of the most precise sticks you can buy now. Importantly, it has 4 axis which is what I need (Z for torso twist and a throttle stick). It doesnt have that much buttons though, so keyboard is still necessary.

Joystick that I would recommend to anyone, is Saitek Cyborg Evo (http://images.produc..._cyborg_evo.jpg). Its an older stick, I had it for 7 years before it broke. But it has really good layout, many well positioned buttons, 4 axis, good for both left and right handed, very comfortable overall. You might have problems finding a new one (dont EVER buy second hand joystick!!!), but its quite cheap, and I loved it, and so did many others.
Saitek Cyborg fly-5, which OP mentioned, is basically new Cyborg Evo. But, I heard that its not that well made, and also its too light, so you might experience a lot of moving around on the table. I didnt try it myself, only had a hand on it in shop, and I just did not liked it as much as older Cyborg. I wouldnt say its a bad joystick, but I would still recommend getting the older Cyborg Evo instead. The fact that it costs little more that the new fly-5 (at least in my country) speaks for itself.

Sorry for bad grammar
