I know the online component is to be completed first but maybe we could get a mode with AI bots to practice with friends?
That can't hardly be a challenge for PGI!! Or could it?

There are so many BT/MW books out there it should not really be a problem to come up with a believable story with some depth to it.

ARRRGHHH That's not what my poll asks. It's not "Do you want PGI to do whatever"
The question is: "Do you want a single player campaign." Given that IGP holds the rights to the MW franchise
any studio could do it (like MW tactics is not a PGI product)

Which rumors are you pointing at?
I haven't heard any of those - maybe you can give a link to such rumors?

I think It would be pretty rad to build a cop-op campaign after they finish the multiplayer experience.
And I'd definitely buy into Founders again for I t. Gotta support what you love!

I can really understand your frustration with PGI. Moreover Duke Nukem Forever as their "flagship" product isn't the best advertisement either. But then this thread is about whether people want a single player MW game and not an evaluation of PGI. This can be done in it's own thread.
So yes I want a story driven MW single player game no matter which company makes it.
I wish they made Duke Nukem Forever because that would be a step up. They only worked on the multiplayer and console ports. Odd innit?
Well your post states "Petition to PGI......" hence my response. Maybe you want to change that to IGP? The holders of the license. I'm of course entirely in support of a story driven MW single player game.

Good to know. Thanks for the info.

Great to have you on-board then

Mhh okay lots of rumors but nothing conclusive.
I wish PGI/IGP were a bit more transparent...e.g. give a yearly report to the basis like major companies do for their stock holders.

They could also integrate a single player campaign into MWO. Either in an open world setting or single player instances. Only drawback would be that you have to be online to play. But there are enough games that do that anyway, even when there is no technical necessity.

If these new mechwarrior/battletech games do well then PGI will have the funding to make their dream projects (like a single player game) themselves or they can convince a publisher that its a worthwhile investment. Basically if you want a single player game convince other people to play MWO and purchase items from the cash shop. Though threads like this are useful to show PGI general fan interest for the idea. For the record I would love another single player game either MW5 or MC3 and I hope PGI is successful in all their endeavors.

So you think they'd actually leak something that said we received $5,000,000 under the implication it would all be used on MWO, but instead it all went to the publisher?
If the community is frustrated at lack of progress and development, what do you think that sort of thing would do? Why would any business want to advertise that kind of diversion of funds?
yes, it is conjecture, but it would explain a lot.

I just hope to get a comment from the devs like "Yes we still want to do it maybe in one or two years."
