Consistently, as a new player in a trial mech. Other team is filled with founders who helped are running ravens using ecm. 4 packing up.

This is why new players hate mwo and go play planetside 2 or world of tanks or hawken. Your solo play in game experience sucks.

ELO Matching will be in eventually. But, yes, you are right the match balancing currently is whack yo.

You know, the exact same topics pop up in the Planetside 2 forums, WoT forums, Hawken forums and on and on and on. Only the name of the game changes.

Yea,basically.They can give new players all the bonuses and perks they want(which don't get me wrong,it's needed and appreciated),but as long as pugs and premades are in the same boat.....well,you get the idea.I can't begin to imagine how many players this game has lost due to the lousy new player experience.Trial mechs,constant pugstomps,moderately large learning curve with no training/practice area.

None of this is new information of course,and PGI is making changes to help it.I just hope it's not too little,too late.They also have GOT to pick up the pace on developement.I understand they are a small company.Hire people.

Also,the cost of MC needs to change.F2P games live or die by their pricing schemes and player base size.MWO is failing in both departments at the moment.All IMHO of course.

Well given that half a team might be a premade. With sides. 8vs8 at the moment you will face a premade twice for every time you are on their side. A full company 12 vs 12 match with a single premade lance would make for better odds.

It isn't actually a problem that there are too many pre made lances. It's actually the lack of them.

If half the lances dropping were premade and they each went to a different side then it would even up the odds. You'd face a premade and be on the same side.

One of the changes I'd make is that premade a have to have mechs of a different class (L:M:H:A = 1:1:1:1). That the premade lance then gains XP that they can use to open up additional class slots. Once they can field any combo (4:4:4:4) they can the invest in same type and then variant. The idea is to slow down FOTM and enhance tactical play whilst rewarding the long term lances.

all he said ^ not so much the premades but the elite mechs with experienced pilots againts learners in trials. not to mention other matchmaker problems game mechanics with exploiters in full force etc etc.

Life isnt fair.. Hawken Boring Nice graphics though. My only suggestion man up join a Premade team. unorganized teams will always get stomped regardless of games including planetside 2 and WoT.

it's not ELO matching at all that's needed. It's Cbill cost adjustments.
Tricked out mechs cost more. Thats why some variants are 3 mil and the same mech of another variant is 7 mil.

You can basically buy Cbills in game with MC cred, by the transitive property of buying a souped up variant with MC, which means you've already got better stuff. And noone argue about this. If it wasn't better, there'd be no point to upgrading to it, and clan tech wouldn't cause all the fanboys to salivate.

Yup. You were rolled by an 8 man team. Coordination, communication, teamwork. the three most OP things possible in a Team game.

Man up? really.LOL.If anyone needs to man up,it's the units/players running 4(8) man pugstomp teams instead of joining the 8 man queue.

I've pugged and 4 man pugstomped plenty.solo pugging is a lot more brutal than the bore fest of no challenge,90% win rate of the pugstomp.

I'm with OP. I played 6 matches, had negative fun, and will not be back. I love mechwarrior, but this experience sucks. Shame on devs.

Worse than bad matchups is that there is no communication at all. World of tanks has chatter at least.

well..while my game worked i was only pug solo and i never complained. even when R&R were in place i still managed to earn some c-bills at the and of the day. now with free R&R I dont see why ppl complain ? because you lose ? win or lose is not important..is how you do it..if you are do it right then you will have fun no matter the outcome. and you will learn something too.

i just want the dev.s to give me a solution for crashes so i can play again lol....HEAR MY CRY dev.s !

I pug exclusively. Yes you have days when the pug stomping is bad, but generally, I find the matches fairly well balanced and comes down to which side takes the initiative. It's just that the really unbalanced ones stick out more. Going solo, you will lose more than you win, but you can still have fun and keep a positive K/D ratio if that concerns you.

I got serious about this game 2 weeks ago to be exact. Bring it I say. You only need to look at yourself before blaming others. I got slaughtered at the start and then I starting taking steroids and eating flax seeds while rubbing flax seed oil all over my mechs.

Funny, the puggies do not seem to mind when myself +1-3 others drop on THEIR team (ignoring the fact that neither I nor my lancemates are in any sort of organization, but just randoms who played together, found each other competent and fun to play with, and added each other as friends - something anyone can do if they, ya know, socialize in this game at all). They only whine when they fight us. The odds are in nobody's favor.

The problem is synch-dropping 8 mechs together into normal game queues.

A score like that, by the way, is entirely doable with just four coordinated players, too. Assuming the randoms on the team are aware there is communication going on among the four and do not play like idiots. Unfortunately, 'playing like idiots' is a hard learn for many. Because galloping out into the open alone, when you are not in a mech traveling at 90+ kph, despite being common sense not to do, apparently is not common sense. I have seen some remarkable levels of wtftheythinking with some people, though.... We really need a versus simulation mode for training purposes....

Of course, the 8 man synch-drop would not happen if the current 8v8 was any semblance of balance in its current state. Without a tonnage cap, or even a Like Class for Like Class setup (actually, even WITH the latter), there is little reason not to run anything but ECM D-DC and 3L spam.

OMG that was a 4 man group from KaoS and if you didn't cry the Jenner with ECM was OP then we wouldn't have to grind 4 raven's up. So **** and pick your poison.
