Funny, the puggies do not seem to mind when myself +1-3 others drop on
THEIR team (ignoring the fact that neither I nor my lancemates are in any sort of organization, but just randoms who played together, found each other competent and fun to play with, and added each other as friends - something anyone can do if they, ya know, socialize in this game at all). They only whine when they fight us. The odds are in
nobody's favor.
The problem is synch-dropping 8 mechs together into normal game queues.
A score like that, by the way, is entirely doable with
just four coordinated players, too. Assuming the randoms on the team are aware there is communication going on among the four and do not play like idiots. Unfortunately, 'playing like idiots' is a hard learn for many. Because galloping out into the open alone, when you are not in a mech traveling at 90+ kph, despite being common sense not to do, apparently is not common sense. I have seen some remarkable levels of wtftheythinking with some people, though.... We really need a versus simulation mode for training purposes....
Of course, the 8 man synch-drop would not happen if the current 8v8 was any semblance of balance in its current state. Without a tonnage cap, or even a Like Class for Like Class setup (actually, even WITH the latter), there is little reason not to run anything but ECM D-DC and 3L spam.
