Wouldn't it be great to participate in important events in the BT history?

My favorit would be the Battle of Tukayyid. Either as PvP or also as PvE game mode.
(Personally I like the idea of a PvE game mode.)
I could imagine the technologically superior clans beeing AI controlled and me in the role of a ComStar mech pilot.

So what is your favorite historic event?

This idea was actually inspired from this thread:

Just imagine having a Battle of Luthien campaign pack where you actually take part in a historical event within the Battletech universe.

The Battle of Beckvern Hill

Nox became the site of the first full-scale Mech-vs-Mech battle, occuring at Battle of Beckvern Hill.

...Though this Kurita attack was neither successful nor strategically significant, it marked a major turning point in armed warfare. The few confrontations in military history that compare to it include the Monitor-vs-Merrimack engagement in March 1862 and the Battle of the Coral Sea in May 1942.

The Great Refusal, but that's a long way off.

Quote

On 12 April, 3060, a month after the fall of Huntress, Victor Steiner-Davion led the remaining reborn SLDF into the Strana Mechty system. Granted safe passage, Prince Victor's forces landed near the Hall of Khans. A delegation of Prince Victor, Precentor Martial and other SLDF officers met with ilKhan Lincoln Osis to call a Trial of Refusal against the invasion of the Inner Sphere.

Battle of the Southern Army on Huntress, specifically the pass where Arianna Winston catches a PPC to the 'ol cockpit. I would like to be able to see that in a scripted scene, and have the opportunity to avenge her (though I know Andrew Redburn actually did the deed, It would be neat to be able to).

I would like to have some scripted AI battles against the clans that are non-recorded canon. I think it would be infinitely cool to fight some very early battles on the Periph where the clans were unknown and just some godawful juggernaut plaguing the pirates. An encounter where you "lose" that has you playing as a small Merc unit that gets rolled by some Clanners.

I know these things are well and truly beyond the scope of MWO and there is 0 point in expecting or hoping for them, but its fun to speculate.

Its really crimping my interest in CW to be honest. Yeah we can take worlds back and forth but whats the real fun if we cant even take part in the real fights or blunt the clan invasion or you know; impact the storyline at all

Thats exactly why I'd like PvE game modes aka single player or co-op pseudo single player.
You actually could kill Victor Davion and the next time you decide to play this
PvE scenario he is back there and maybe this time he owns you :D

This scenario exists in MW2 Mercenaries :)

Also, Tukkayid. Oh the things I would give to see Aidan Pryde's last stand.
