Why? Why must you exist, 2X? Why must you make my life so miserable? You're slower than the 3L and have no jumpjets. Yes I *could* fit four lasers on you, but you'd only overheat. Every time I run you I wish I were in my 3L because my team doesn't have any ECM. Each time I run into a trollmando with half as much armour as me, I cry as it almost cores me with its streaks before I can finish it off. In 10,000XP I'm selling you for half of what you're worth, because you truly are the Worst Raven.

Tried the 3L, but no one seemed to have a problem shooting me! Guess my ping is too good to get the full lagshield.

4 med lasers and srm 6 work nice for me. stock engine. need endo and DHS though. but it's a lot more fun than running with tasers

Stock engine? You just told me you are a free kill, bro. I've seen a few ravens with stock engine, and I made sure they didn't last a minute into the match

The 3L can take a faster engine than its jumpier cousin the 4x, and the ECM is most useful for getting LRMs off your friends and countering lights that pass through the front line. Meanwhile the 2x just sits there, like a prize fool.

The 2X is amazing compared to the 4X. And the stock engine in a raven is asking to be killed, I almost feel bad when I get matched against one.

PS I was running ravens long before ECM and will long after jenners get ECM I will continue to **** jenners after they get ECM and are the main ***** topic on the forums. I predict nerf jenners as soon as they get ECM. ZOMG JENNERS WITH JUMPJETS AND ECM ARE OP BLAH BLAH then i come and stomp them with my raven

Right now the value of a light mech is determined by the number of missile hard points and ecm. Few patches ago it was the number of energy slots.

You never know maybe the 2X will be someday.

The 2X is the best weapons platform available to the Raven family, you are just doing it patently wrong. You use the 2X as a heavy/assault killer due to its turning radius and smaller size. You are not going to be able to take out fast moving lights who tend now to all have ECM + Streaks.

You watch your heat and work your firing groups and you got a killing machine. If you want to talk a piece of crap, that would be the 4X, the absolute crappiest mech I've ever seen for damage output.

All Ravens are a free kill. They die so quickly. I really don't understand what all the fuss is about, no light mech has enough armor to last against even average firepower and lights are pretty easy to hit once you learn to lead them.

The 4X is actually worse than the 2X, because Ballistic slots aren't worth anything to a Light Mech. Pretty much the only logical thing you can put there is MGs, and they suck, really bad. E/M is a lot more valuable to a Light because of how useless MGs currently are. I'm very eager to get 4/4 Elite on my 4X as fast as I can so I can throw it away. I'd much rather play my 2X, although that too will get hocked after 4/4 Elite. Basically, 3L > 2X > 4X.

A 15 would be more logical. It's more weight efficient and that means a lot on a 35t Mech.

No you don't, you got a light that has no ECM and nothing to compensate for it. Who cares about the extra laser hardpoint when you can barely fire it without overheating? A Raven by itself is pathetic at killing anything. What makes a Raven a "killing machine" is speed and missile blocking, which only the 3L is good at. At least the 4x has jets for a bit of fun. 100kph is terrible, any other light will murder you, any other heavy designed for hunting lights will not only murder you, but keep up with your horrid top speed. The 2x is by far and away the worst Raven variant, because unlike the 4x it's not even fun to run.
